Inside, you’ll find a beautifully arranged space that balances practicality and luxury. The hut features a comfortable double bed, a handcrafted oak dining table with seating for two, and a traditional farmhouse-style kitchen, with belfast sink and a charming dresser, fully equipped for your stay.
You'll also enjoy a Nespresso Vertuo coffee machine, complete with a starter pack of coffee pods, ideal for starting slow mornings or fuelling your next adventure.
The bathroom defies expectations with a full-sized shower cubicle, toilet, and washbasin, far from the usual compact shepherd hut facilities. Cleverly designed storage spaces, including an outdoor compartment for suitcases and bulky gear, ensure you have everything you need without compromising on space.
Outside, The Flying Scotsman offers spectacular valley views and direct access to the river.Guests can step across a series of stones to discover a hidden island, an enchanting spot perfect for picnics, reading, or quiet reflection in nature.
Wander the surrounding footpaths, lose yourself in the peaceful landscape, or simply relax on your private deck with a large glass of wine in hand.
Your private hot tub offers the ultimate in relaxation after a day of hiking or exploring the Brecon Beacons. As with all our properties, the hot tub is cleaned, emptied, and refilled after each guest, so please allow up to 12 hours for it to reach the desired temperature. For safety, it is not suitable for children under 16 or pregnant women, and we kindly ask all guests to review the guidelines provided in the hut before use.
To make your stay even more comfortable, a thoughtful starter pack with tea, sugar sachets, and Nespresso pods is provided on arrival. Luxurious Black Pepper & Sandalwood toiletries are also provided including shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, while heated towel rails ensure your towels stay warm and fluffy.
Guests can also benefit from on-site EV charging stations, supporting eco-conscious travel to and from this tranquil retreat. A flameless BBQ is also available for guests to use, this is usually located in the front porch area near the firewood.
