About this property

no3 Porth Farm Cottages, Mawgan Porth.

Rustic Charm and Coastal Adventure in the Heart of Cornwall.

Nestled on a scenic hillside overlooking the Laherne Valley and just minutes from the Atlantic Ocean, this unique cottage combines traditional character with the warmth and charm of a classic Cornish retreat.
The Cottage :
No3 Porth Farm Cottages is one of a collection of eight restored stone cottages forming a picturesque courtyard with communal gardens, making it the perfect haven for families, couples, and nature enthusiasts seeking a peaceful getaway. Converted from old farm outbuildings, this basic, traditional Cornish cottage is full of character and charm, with simple furnishings and a homey feel. It is an unmodernised cottage, retaining its original rustic character. With charming features from the 1970s, including a quaint kitchenette and bathroom (with a bath and shower combination), it offers a nostalgic escape from modern life. An open fireplace and stand-alone heaters provide warmth and comfort in the absence of central heating.
The cottage has a welcoming feel and we have kept the family-friendly set up to make your stay as relaxed and enjoyable as possible. It sleeps up to six and is best suited to families rather than groups of adults or multiple couples.
There are 3 bedrooms : Upstairs you will find one queen-sized bed in the main bedroom and a second bedroom with three single beds, ideal for children or siblings sharing. Downstairs there is a third bedroom with a single bed for a grandparent, teen or someone who prefers their own space.

A lovely, well appointed cottage with everything you need for an enjoyable stay. The cottage is located at the top of the village with a nice walk down to the beach along with the must visit Retorrick Mill. Good communication from Helena and a very easy check in/our process.

This is a beautiful little cottage, decked out beautifully and exceptionally cosy. We spent a few days here for a wedding and couldn’t have been happier with the property as a base. Easy walk into town and to the beach, very clean, and very easy to check into. The host Helena was super friendly, very welcoming, and very diligent — checking in to ensure we had all the info we need and always being very communicable. If you want a true taste of Cornwall and its hospitality, I can’t recommend these cottages highly enough. Thank you so much!

Our first trip to England—and to Cornwall—could not have been more delightful, and No. 3 Porth Farm Cottages was a perfect home base. Helena was an exceptionally helpful and thoughtful host, and the cottage was exactly as described: simple, charming, comfortable, and full of character. We especially enjoyed the warmth of the cottage itself—cooking a few of our own meals, settling into the space, and enjoying the quiet charm of the courtyard and surrounding cottages. Mawgan Porth is a beautiful village in its own right, but it is also wonderfully situated for exploring some of the most breathtaking places along the north Cornwall coast. Whether you want quiet, secluded coves or the more iconic, well-loved sights, this location gives you easy access to both. We left surprised by just how magical Cornwall felt, and deeply grateful for such a lovely place to stay.
