Our condo has been well cared for by all with whom it has been shared. Some guests have returned each summer for many years; and now they share 'their week' with grandchildren.

The kitchen has been renovated to include new cupboards, granite countertops & appliances, including a crockpot and a waffle maker. It is outfitted with everything you could need to make everything from pimento cheese spread to a low country shrimp boil.

In the living area and throughout the condo you'll find a variety of books and magazines, so it's easy to find something great to read. Whether you're looking for the perfect beach novel or a children's book on turtle nesting, there's something for everyone. We keep a variety of puzzles and games which you're sure to enjoy spreading out on the large dining room table. Even if bad weather keeps you away from the beach, you'll have plenty of entertainment indoors.

The bathrooms have been completely restructured and tiled. All new fixtures in the bathrooms, including regular bath tubs, and unlike many other condos, we've moved the sinks out of the bedrooms and into the bathrooms.

The living, dining and bedrooms' furniture and decor are continually updated and/or replaced as needed. With my renter's help, I try to keep the condo ready to be enjoyed as I would my home.

New double-paned Energy Star windows have made such a difference in sound and comfort! The outside heat and cold temperatures stay outside. The new front loading clothes washer and dryer are also Energy Star.

***IMPORTANT NOTE***
I am not an agent, and I only rent and share my own personal condo and am not able to provide/supervise cleaning services. I ask my renters to clean up after themselves, and I have found through the years that they do a better job than any of the maid services I have used. You will not be charged a cleaning fee, but you must make sure the property is cleaned for the next renter.

ABOUT THE ISLAND:
Harbor Island has 2 miles of beautiful clean beach, sand crabs dancing, loggerhead turtles nesting and hatching, egret and heron rookeries, an occasional alligator or porpoise sighting, watching the tide come in and the shrimp boats go out. Harbor is about angel wing shells and sand dollar searches, about crabbing, fishing, incredible sunrises and sunsets, sea oats and cat tails, fiddler crabs, rare birds, dowagers, sand pipers, pelicans, and the surrounding marsh which serves as a nursery for all of it.

ABOUT THE LOCATION:
Harbor is next door to Hunting Island State Park with its fishing pier, museum and lots of Park Ranger programs. Harbor is a 20 minute drive from Beaufort, South Carolina with its riverfront park, nice restaurants and wonderful shops. Many movies have been filmed in Beaufort and on the surrounding islands - you may recognize some of the beautiful scenery. Finally, Harbor is about an hour away from historic Savannah, Georgia to the south and Charleston, South Carolina to the north.
