Exclusive All-Season Lakefront Cottage on Big Rideau Lake

Welcome to this classic, all-season lakefront cottage located in the heart of Big Rideau Lake. The main cottage offers spectacular panoramic lake and sunset views through large surrounding windows, creating a bright and inviting atmosphere year-round.

This spacious property features five bedrooms accommodating up to 10 guests, plus pull-out beds for up to 4 additional guests (additional charge applies for groups over 6). All beds are prepared with fresh linens, and clean towels are provided for your stay.

The cottage includes a large all-wood sunroom with ample seating and a breakfast table, ideal for relaxing while enjoying the lake views. Inside, you’ll find a large living room designed to accommodate everyone comfortably, featuring a fireplace and a Samsung flat-screen Smart TV with access to all major streaming apps, including Netflix, Disney+, and more (guest logins required).

The fully equipped kitchen offers two sinks and includes all necessary cookware and kitchen supplies. Additional amenities include three washrooms, a sauna, and a mini-bar. For extended stays, a washer and dryer are available (detergent not supplied).

Outdoors, enjoy full and unrestricted waterfront access with a large private dock that can accommodate several boats. The swimming area features deep, clear water with no rocks or weeds at the end of the dock. A lake-view outdoor fire pit comfortably accommodates all guests, while the expansive backyardβ€”set on approximately one acre of landβ€”is perfect for BBQs, outdoor gatherings, and events.

The property is air-conditioned and heated by wood and/or propane (firewood not included). Surrounded by mature trees, shrubs, and fencing around approximately 70% of the property, the cottage offers excellent privacy. The driveway provides parking for up to six vehicles.

Big Rideau Lake is known for its wide-open waters and excellent fishing. Motorboat rentals are available from a nearby marina.

Fantastic place. Great for big families and friends. Lots of space for socializing and also for privacy both inside the cottage and outside. Fully equipped for cooking and entertaining. It was exactly what we were looking for.

House and lake are beautiful but the dock wasn't very stable or secure. The dishwasher was also not working and the dishes got dirtier after going through a cycle. Lots of space and lots of rooms which was great! The basement and sauna did smell a bit mouldy.

We stayed at the Lakefront Cottage on Big Rideau Lake from April 23 to April 26 and had an excellent experience. The property itself was beautiful, well-maintained, and fully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay.The host was very easy to reach and always responded quickly, which made the entire experience smooth and stress-free. We especially appreciated how well-stocked the cottage wasβ€”every amenity we could think of was available.Overall, we had a very relaxing weekend enjoying the peaceful lakefront setting. It was the perfect getaway, and we would definitely consider staying here again.

We have traveled to the Rideau Lake region many times over the years and this property provides some the nicest accommodations we have ever enjoyed. The location is very convenient with close access to Portland and Westport and their shopping and dining options.The property provides beautiful lake views and wonderful sunsets. The outdoor amenities include three levels of lake and dock deck views with comfortable Adirondack chairs and a hammock. A well-functioning fire pit is also available for evening campfires.The home is well laid out with several common areas for family dining and gathering. The kitchen area is large and well equipped with everything you need.The bedrooms are as described, and all the beds were very comfortable. Communication with the owner was excellent before, during and after the stay. During our stay a repair was necessary and he responded immediately and had the work completed in a very timely fashion. The sauna functions well but the downstairs area appears to be undergoing renovation and is not exactly as it appears in the photographs.We would definitely enjoy another stay in the future.

Lovely time on Big Rideau Lake

We enjoyed our stay. The cottage was very nice, well-equipped kitchen with 2 fridges and lots of room for everyone. The location was also great and the kids were swimming off the dock every day. Good outdoor spaces, good Wi-Fi as well.

Great spot for a weekend with friends

It was a pleasure staying here and I highly recommend this location for a weekend with friends. George was very accommodating and this location is absolutely stunning. I suggest booking this place during warmer temperatures - the water was crystal clear and my only regret was not getting to enjoy it.

Great stay

The property is very clean, modern, and spacious. Lots of room for family members to be together or separate for different reasons. The dock worked out fine for our boat and the water was very nice with clean, deep water, swimming off the end of the dock. The fishing was great as well.
