Region: Cornwall’s visitors are constantly tempted back to the beautiful coastline, tiny fishing villages, hidden coves and the world-class surfing. Whatever the reason, Cornwall has long cemented its place as one of Britain’s premier holiday destinations.
Town: The collective name given to the three villages of Sibford Gower, Sibford Ferris and Burdrop, The Sibfords can be found settled in Oxfordshire, on the fringes of the tremendous Cotswold Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The villages can be found scattered amongst the Sib Valley, with its name meaning "fording place of the River Sib". Each village boasts its own enchantment and wonderful amenities, with Sibford Ferris providing a Post Office and local store, Sibford Gower having a pub and village hall, and Burdrop being sat at the centre, it offers everything you could need for a self-catered getaway. Slightly further afield you can find the historic market town of Banbury, a great day out for retail therapy or a simple stroll in one of its pleasant parks while absorbing the area's rich heritage. For the avid adventure seeker, the Cotswolds provides excitement in various forms, from exploring by horseback, discovering astonishing nature or rambling to the most scenic spots, there's plenty to do here. Spend a day in Stratford-upon-Avon to surround yourself with the history of Shakespeare, or head to Oxford for a plethora of cultural experiences like no other. In easy reach of a wide range of delights, The Sibfords is the perfect place from which to explore Oxfordshire and the surrounding area.
