Perfect for a family

The space was perfect for our family - we had room to be together and to be separate. We enjoyed the games that were in the living room. We were able to cook meals and it was nicely stocked with some spices/oils. We had a specific request and our host was not only communicative with us but very accommodating of our request! Great stay!

Great flat!

Beautiful flat located in a nice quiet neighborhood near a few restaurants and grocery stores. Very spacious and clean. Enjoyed the nespresso machine. Would not recommend staying here with a car though. Parking around is zoned and the few spots with parking meter access only accepted coins and were by the hour.

Great place for a long term and a family

It's a great place with great price for a family if you have a tight budget. The flat is located on the second floor and it's not a narrow steep walk up, so 78 years old mother could do it easily. It's a bit far away from the downtown, but Edinburgh is a walkable city. You can uber out to the city to enjoy and walk back home or walk to wherever you want and uber back home if you are too tired to walk. The sun doesn't really go down till after 10 or 11 during summer time, and it's safe to walk any time of the day. #5 Bus is around corner if you want to ride a bus. I've been to Edinburgh many times and this is one of typical Edinburgh flats. It has the original fireplaces but not renovated so although it's clean and spacious, shower water is a bit slow so it can be a bit inconvenient for a big family. However, my child and my mother didn't complain. Kitchen is a bit odd arrangement, but it has everything you need. A small inconvenience is not a big deal in a beautiful city. If you walk towards Marchmont rd, you can find grocery store and breajfast place and more, which is great for people who wants to cook and who doesn't. Communication with the owner can be slow if you want to know something way ahead of time, but she will be very communicative two days prior to your arrival and during your stay. She will get back to you quickly once you are there. It's a basic, but wodnerful place to stay and I would go back there again.
