Cosy, welcoming and brimming with original features, the cottage sits in an enviable position with stunning views across the Solway Firth.
The rural location is a perfect base for walkers, climbers, cyclists or for those who just crave peace and relaxation and with the local bar/restaurant it's easy to escape and relax.

Arriving at Cecils View and you will be greeted with the outstanding views the cottage boasts as it sits directly opposite the Solway Firth.
GROUND FLOOR
Kitchen/Dining area:- Enter the cottage to a well equipped and spacious kitchen and dining area, a good size table and chairs create the perfect space to enjoy meals together, with everything needed to prepare a light lunch or full evening meal.
Sitting room:- With plenty of comfortable seating, the sitting room is cosy and welcoming with the charm of original beamed ceiling. Enjoy catching up on your favourite TV after a fun day exploring everything our wonderful region has to offer, there's even plenty of room for family games night!
Bedroom 1:- An absolutely charming room with wonderful original features of a beamed ceiling and spectacular original stone fireplace. The super comfortable double bed will ensure a great night sleep after action packed days. A cosy chair next to the packed bookcase is the perfect spot to relax and curl up with a good book away from the rest of the house.
Cloakroom:- There is a cloakroom with WC & basin on the ground floor for convenience.
FIRST FLOOR:-
Bedroom 2:- A spacious, double aspect twin bedroom with beautiful views over the Solway Firth, plenty of storage space for personal belongings and a fantastic place to use the telescope for star gazing on a clear night.
Bedroom 3:- Again, a good size twin room with wonderful views and ample storage space, a lovely chair is the perfect reading nook to relax with a favourite novel.
Main bathroom:- The bathroom is compact but perfectly proportioned! A good size shower unit will leave you refreshed in the morning or rejuvenated after that long country walk or cycle.
OUTSIDE SPACE
The back garden is enclosed with a surrounding wall and wooden gate, a patio directly outside the back door and lawned area with table & chairs mean it is a lovely space to enjoy a glass of wine in the evening as the sun goes down (yes we do get sun in Scotland probably more than you think!)
Overall it is the most charming cottage and has a real feel-good factor, we do hope that it will become your 'home from home' and you enjoy many happy days at the cottage. The cottage has been in the family for generations and is the source of many wonderful childhood memories.
Pets are welcome, however, there will be an additional charge of £30 total to cover additional cleaning costs.
Guests will have access to the entire property and private garden.
