About this property
5 Bed in Westward Ho (oc-c32060)
A pretty cottage with adjoining studio annexe, sleeping ten guests and set in seaside Westward Ho! village. Explore the charming port town of Bideford and its local beaches, stroll along its historic quay and take a little time out to watch the boats sail by. In the evening, come home to your pretty cottage to share a BBQ feast with your loved ones on the lovely garden patio.
Step through the entrance hall to the inviting lounge with Smart TV exposed beams, stonework, original wood floors and a cosy wood burner. The impressive farmhouse-style kitchen area has a kitchen island, a charming dining table, skylights and a wall of windows. Out on the patio, fire up the BBQ and indulge in a fun, al fresco feast. Take a dip in the outdoor hot tub, or head to the family room to relax by the ornamental inglenook open fire while the kids enjoy a game of table football. Upstairs, you’ll find four elegantly styled bedrooms – a super-king-size (can be converted into twins) and a king-size – both boasting their own en-suite shower rooms. There’s also a bunk room and a twin bedroom that share a smart family bathroom. Just off to the side of the main cottage, you’ll find a charming single-level studio cottage with twin beds, a vaulted ceiling, garden views, a kitchenette and an en-suite wet room. Enjoy the private enclosed lawn and woodland garden, which has a shallow stream (please supervise young children and pets). Parking is available for four cars.
Discover the coastal beauty of Westward Ho! (1 mile), where you can stroll along the extensive sandy beach and explore its unique pebble ridge. Set off on a nature hike through Northam Burrows Country Park (3 miles), a protected area of saltmarsh, sand dunes and grassy plains, which is a haven for rare birds like the white stork and black-winged stilt.
