About this property

Holly Hayes House Instow

Holly Hayes House is an immaculate, completely refurbished 4 bedrooms, 2 bathroom self-catering holiday home, spectacularly placed in the beautiful seaside village of Instow on the North Devon coast.

The house offers comfortable and stylish holiday accommodation for up to 8 people and provides the perfect ambience for a relaxed seaside holiday with all the comforts of home. The local village amenities, pubs, restaurants, and the sheltered sandy beach is just a short walk from the front door.

Tucked away on a peaceful side road, Holly Hayes House is just 100 meters from the stunning Instow Beach, known for its golden sands and rolling dunes. Whether you're curling up by the log burner on a crisp winter weekend or sipping sundowners in the garden during warm summer evenings, the house offers a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere all year round.

But the experience doesn’t end at the front door—there’s plenty to explore. Instow boasts a wide selection of pubs and restaurants. The local deli is a hidden gem, offering fresh, homemade produce and coffee. Hop on the seasonal ferry to the charming fishing village of Appledore, wander its narrow lanes, or take in the scenic coastal paths and the family-friendly Tarka Trail, perfect for bike rides. Nearby Westward Ho! is a haven for surfers with its two-mile stretch of sandy beach. A short 10-minute drive brings you to Bideford, a historic market town filled with independent shops and eateries, and the departure point for day trips to Lundy Island aboard The Oldenburg.

Inside the house, the top-floor master suite is a peaceful retreat featuring a king-size bed, an ensuite shower room, and stunning sea views across to Appledore. On the first floor, there’s a modern family bathroom, a king-size bedroom, a versatile super king bedroom (which can be arranged as two singles), and a cosy bunk room perfect for two children (up to age 12). A travel cot with an additional mattress is also available for our youngest guests.

Bi-fold doors open out to the back garden, creating a seamless indoor-outdoor living space ideal for summer BBQs or a quiet morning coffee (BBQ now provided).

There is one parking space at the front of the house. While it's small, it generally suits most vehicles. If you're unsure about your car's size, feel free to contact us in advance.

Dogs are welcome—we allow one dog per stay as standard. A second dog may be considered on request, provided it meets our approval criteria and is a permitted breed.

Fantastic house in great location

Lovely and relaxing stay at Holly Hayes House. It is in a brilliant location and really well equipped. We loved everything from having hooks just where you need them to the lovely garden, parking space and wood burner. Only a few mins walk to the beach. Instow is a lovely village with great restaurants. Couldn’t recommend more highly for a great holiday.

The house was everything we needed and wanted

Holly Hayes House is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean . The kitchen had every utensil we needed, lovely crockery etc. The beds were very comfortable and bathrooms excellent The garden is well kept and pretty with plenty of seating. The situation is ideal being a very short distance from the beach and pubs/restaurants We found parking spaces easily ( but this might be different in the summer)

A wonderful stay in a superb seaside villa.

I’m not often able to praise a house for all the members of our party, but our mature group were all very comfortable and every facility was available. The beds and bedding were perfect. The garden was superbly landscaped and just an extension of the house. Ours was just a short break but we would all consider returning. Many thanks to your housekeeper.
