Stronachlachar is a magical place, it is the birthplace of tourism in Scotland, With sweeping views of Loch Katherine and seeing the Sir Walter Scott steamship sail by every day during the season it is a pleasure to enjoy Wattie Cottage as your home from home. Wattie Cottage, Stronachlachar Lodge and Scott Cottage were my holiday home as a child so it is just a dream come true to now own them and host.

Why they chose this property

As a family, we spent magical weeks over the summer holidays forging fond childhood memories which have lasted a lifetime. Today, this is where we call home; the scenic beauty of Loch Katrine and the surrounding area is breathtaking offering escapism and a chance to breath and reflect. Tranquil, sometime moody, no two days ever look the same. No wonder this was the birthplace of Scottish tourism.
