Walk to shops, tea rooms and pubs, and reach the train station in ~5 minutes for easy trips to Oxford and London. A characterful base for markets, countryside walks and exploring the North Cotswolds.

The Space:

Redesdale is a characterful Grade II-listed maisonette on Moreton-in-Marsh High Street, sleeping up to 7 guests across 4 bedrooms, with 1 full bathroom + 1 WC. Ideal for families and friends getting together. It’s warm, welcoming and full of original features — exposed beams, winding staircases and cosy corners — with shops, tea rooms and pubs right outside the door.

Step inside and the kitchen/dining space is ideal for morning coffee and planning the day. After exploring the Cotswolds, retreat to the cosy snug — a peaceful spot to curl up with a book or unwind in the evening.

Sleeping arrangements (sleeps up to 7 across 4 bedrooms):

Master bedroom: king-size bed

Bedroom 2: super king bed

Adjoining room : double pull-out bed + single pull-out bed

Please note: this adjoining room involves older, steep steps down towards the living room.

Twin room: two single beds

Snug single bedroom: one single bed

The real magic is the location. Step outside and you’re in the centre of Moreton-in-Marsh, with Stow-on-the-Wold, Broadway and Bourton-on-the-Water just a short drive away. It’s a brilliant base for markets, village pubs, independent shops and long Cotswolds walks — whether you’re here for a family get-together or a relaxed countryside break.

Guest Access:

You'll have exclusive access to the entire apartment, including the four private bedrooms, a full bathroom, and a half bathroom. Enjoy the living room, the kitchen, and the garden or backyard. Amenities such as a BBQ grill, and free parking on the street are also available.

The Neighborhood:

On Tuesdays, the town comes alive with the famous Moreton-in-Marsh Market — one of the largest street markets in the Cotswolds, packed with local produce, crafts and plenty of character. You’ll also find a great mix of places to eat, from classic country pubs serving locally sourced food to relaxed cafés and restaurants.

Easy without a car

Moreton-in-Marsh railway station is around a 5-minute walk away, with direct trains to Oxford, London Paddington and Worcester — ideal for car-free Cotswolds breaks or easy day trips.

Perfect base for exploring

Stow-on-the-Wold (4 miles): antiques and historic market square

Bourton-on-the-Water (8 miles): the “Venice of the Cotswolds”

Broadway (9 miles): picture-perfect streets and Broadway Tower

Chipping Campden (10 miles): classic Cotswolds charm

Blenheim Palace (20 miles): UNESCO World Heritage Site

For walkers, you’re brilliantly placed for countryside rambles, with the Cotswold Way and plenty of scenic trails nearby — rolling hills, honey-stone villages, and that proper Cotswolds feel from the moment you arrive.

Parking

Free on-street parking is available directly outside on Moreton-in-Marsh High Street. Please note there is no designated parking space for the property – it's first-come, first-served public parking.

On Tuesdays, the famous Moreton-in-Marsh market takes over the High Street, and parking restrictions apply during the day (usually until early afternoon). You may need to park in one of the nearby public car parks during market hours.

Access

Please be aware that Redesdale has steep stairs both at the entrance and within the property. All staircases have handrails fitted for safety. This maisonette may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility.

Character Property

As a Grade II-listed building, Redesdale has all the charm of a historic Cotswolds home – including uneven floors, low beams in places, and quirks that come with centuries of history. We think that's part of the magic, but it's worth knowing before you book.
