Not a total flop, but overall our stay could have been better. When we arrived, we decided to do laundry and shower. The hot water on demand does not run for longer than approximately 8 minutes and then the next shower can’t be had for at least another 30 minutes. Another issue was that the metal knob to switch from the handheld shower head to the rainfall shower head in the main washroom was broken when we arrived. There was also no laundry detergent provided so we ended up having to buy our own. The hosts weren’t helpful at all, when I messaged them about these issues they simply responded with a phone number to call for the property management company and it felt very impersonal. Additionally, the apartment door is fully automated and you must have access to data or wifi in order to unlock the door or to access the code. That’s all fine and well if your signal is strong but I guess one day mine wasn’t and I needed to call the property management company to unlock the door remotely. Very annoying standing in the heat waiting for that to be resolved. There are some positives though, the apartment is beautiful and clean and very close to the Vatican. I probably wouldn’t stay again, but I enjoyed it for what it’s worth.
