Region: Littered with rural villages, half-timbered buildings and heritage sites, with links to the neighbouring cities of Manchester and Liverpool, Cheshire offers picturesque landscape scenery in North West England.
Town: Chester has quite rightly been described as 'the jewel of the North-West of England'. Perhaps the most fascinating aspect of the city is that within a very small area there is evidence of every period of history - from the old walls and amphitheatre of Roman times, through medieval churches, Elizabethan timber-framed townhouses and Georgian terraces, to Victorian restorations and 21st century architecture. The city has much to offer the tourist, including excellent shopping in and around the famous Tudor 'Rows' and lovely walks along the Roman Walls, beside the River Dee and through the picturesque Grosvenor Park. Explore Chester's beautiful medieval cathedral, visit Chester Racecourse or spend a day at the world renowned Chester Zoo. Further afield, the stunning Welsh mountains and coastline, the quaint market towns and villages of Cheshire and the Wirral Peninsula with its first class golf courses, are all within easy touring distance, whilst frequent rail services make Liverpool, Manchester and the North Wales coast readily accessible.

Home from home. Clean comfortable very well equipped and fabulous welcome pack. Situated on a quiet road but just 6 minutes drive from Chester zoo, 10 minutes to Cheshire oaks and 2t minutes walk to the city centre.
We were impressed with the property. It's in the middle of a side street in a quiet area with 2 parks a 10 min walk away which was ideal for our dog. There's also a Tesco express about a 15 min walk and you're not too far from the city centre though better to drive in and park somewhere. The welcome pack was a nice touch (Tunnocks for the Scots). Having only the one toilet was a bit limiting at times but we knew that when we booked. My mother-in-law loved the pantry! The property was clean and had decent-sized rooms, a big enough kitchen with a good-sized fridge-freezer. Particularly enjoyed the accesses to the outside space via patio doors in the living room and the hall. Good utility room but could do with a mirror over the sink. Handy to use this when the bathroom wasn't free e.g. to put in contact lenses. Could have done with more mirrors, bedrooms and living room. A new kettle wouldn't go amiss too. One final tip is to reverse into the drive (I almost backed into a neighbour's car when checking out as it had parked on the pavement opposite directly behind us). All in all we were very impressed with this property All in
