Crowrach Uchaf

Excellent tranquil location with nearby access to Porth Ceiriad beach and the Coastal path. Accommodation is adequate. Building looking tired and need of facelift. Lacking any cleaning equipment for cleaning up during and at the end of your stay.

Excellent stay

Thank you for a wonderful stay. The cottage was really well sized for our two families going away together and not feeling cramped. It was beautifully located and very clean.

Character property

Great location for peace and quiet but close enough for easy access to Abersoch (we biked) Stones throw from remote beach but also all beaches on the peninsula. Property was very characterful, secluded, basic but has everything needed and was comfortable. Not a luxury accommodation but clean, nice and comfortable. Beds very comfy.

A Snug Base Eith Amazing Views

Our first Llyn visit although we live further south in Wales. We loved Crowrach’s location tho it wasn’t until day 3 that the weather cleared and we saw the views for the first time - out early in our PJs with the camera! We’re not people who sit down much but I’d been looking forward to sitting on the big L-shaped sofa with the pouffe since I saw the photo and it was an absolute joy. Our final afternoon was spent on said sofa, reading and watching the clouds chase over the mountains. Heaven! We slept in the giant super-king bed which was really comfy. It would be good to have a blanket in the cupboard in case of need. As we have a dog, we always bring throws when we go away so we were fine and the cottage itself was nicely warm. We usually cook when away (it saves finding a dog-friendly evening eaterie) and there was plenty of equipment for that. It was nice to see several dishwasher tablets provided. There are just a few little things that we thought would be useful additions in the cottage: Washing-up bowl Bathroom towel rail Smaller cushion pads for the dining chairs (they drove us a bit mad!) Salt and oil in the kitchen (we bring loads of provisions but not those. There was black pepper, thank you). Books! Of course we bring our own but how we missed finding books to browse…it’s usually one of our great treats in a holiday cottage and bookshops are hard to find on the Llyn. Pwhelli’s charity shops were the best option we could find. These are all minor things and outweighed by how comfy everything was. Crowrach is a super base for exploring the peninsula and of course walking to Abersoch or Porth Ceiriad. Dog-owners, note there is a poo-bin just along the road to Ceiriad when you turn out of Crowrach’s track, on the right. A wonderful break overall and we would happily return to Crowrach. I’m still dreaming about sitting on that sofa!
