Watermill Cottage is a stone-built barn conversion located in the village of North Charlton, Northumberland. Hosting two bedrooms; a super king-size (zip/link), and a double, along with a bathroom, this property can sleep up to four people. Inside you will also find a cloakroom, kitchen, and a lounge/diner with woodburning stove. To the outside is off-road parking for two cars, and a lawn and gravel area with patio and furniture. Situated in a small hamlet with countryside views, Watermill Cottage is a lovely cottage in a memorable part of England. Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping Bond of 250GBP.

Amenities: Oil central heating with woodburner (initial supply of wood provided between October and April). Rangemaster electric oven and ceramic hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, coffee maker. Smart TV's in the lounge and two bedrooms with access to Netflix and other apps to log into, WiFi, selection of books and games. Fuel, power and starter pack for fire inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off-road parking for 2 cars. Front of the cottage is an enclosed gravelled garden and at the rear is a small lawned garden, paved patio with table and chairs, accessed from the French Windows opening out from the lounge. One well-behaved dog welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 3 miles, pub 2 miles and cafe 1/2 mile. Note: Welcome pack on arrival. Note: Whilst both front and back gardens are ‘enclosed’ by stone walling, it’s around 4ft high so if you have a dog it should be kept under supervision. Note: This property can only accept bookings for a 5 or 7 night stay with arrival Friday, Saturday or Sunday.


Region: Northumberland is a heady combination of fishing villages, market towns, sandy beaches, magnificent castles and historic Hadrian’s Wall, tied together by beautiful countryside and abundant wildlife.

Town: The small hamlet of North Charlton is an ideal place from which to explore Northumberland. A short drive will take you to Embleton Bay, Low Newton by the Sea and Beadnell Bay, each offering lovely sandy beaches. The ducal market town of Alnwick, with its magnificent Norman Castle, is just 10 minutes away and offers a wide range of amenities. The countryside surrounding North Charlton is extremely picturesque and the Cheviot foothills and National Park are only a short drive away. For golfers, there are challenging Links courses in abundance. A superb base for exploring all the region has to offer.
