About this property
Lochside hideaway with hot tub by Loch Ness
Sitting at the Inverness end of Loch Ness this single-story loch-side cottage provides the ultimate luxury retreat with views of and direct access to the loch. Sit in the hot tub at the end of a day's exploring and watch the boats go by or brave a refreshing dip in the loch's peaty water or just cosy up in front of the log burner in the stylish sitting room. The wilderness of the highlands is all around you and yet you are only minutes from the amenities of Inverness.
This unique cottage boasts water views and direct access to the loch. An outdoor seating and dining area with a bbq /fire pit is on the the little terrace facing the loch and the wood burning hot tub with its fairy lit pagoda is situated closer to the loch down a little path with spectacular water views where you can chill out and watch the boats go by. A little beach where you can brave the fresh peaty waters is accessed directly from the garden over the little stream which flows past the house. Please note the beach is also used by the owner so it not wholly exclusive to the cottage.
HOME TRUTH: The cottage is set immediately below the main A82 road to the west so although the house is shielded from the road by special noise reducing fencing you may be aware of traffic noise if outside the house. The house is accessed by its own drive with an electric gate. Because of its proximity to water we would advise that it is not the best location for unsupervised toddlers. We welcome pets but because of the water and woods and although fenced from the road it is NOT dog proof.
The cosy sitting room has a wood burning stove, books, games and TV with Freeview, Netflix, Amazon Prime apps etc provides the perfect retreat when you want a change from the great outdoors. It also has a large desk with lighting so perfect if you need to 'work form home!'
The extensive kitchen/diner is fully equipped with an integrated fridge/freezer, dishwasher, hob, electric oven and every amenity you could wish for. The dining area has a table with plenty of seating.
There is a separate utility room complete with washing machine and tumble dryer, outdoor equipment and plenty of storage.
Two super comfortable bedrooms one with a king-size bed and the second currently set up as 2 full sized 3 foot singles. On request, and at time of booking these can be made into one king if preferred.
All linen and bedding is high quality Egyptian cotton from Tielle Loves Luxury as recommended by House and Garden Magazine and Country Life and is also used by many 5* hotels. The bedding is hypoallergenic
By request we can also provide a cot.
There are two en-suite bathrooms; both with baths and showers.
All soaps and shampoos are organic and sourced from the Highland Soap Company.
I have supplied a comprehensive house manual in which you will find suggestions for day trips, visitor attractions, shops, restaurants etc as well as emergency numbers that you might need during your stay.
