Make a picnic and stroll just under 1 mile down to magnificent Brancaster Beach from this superb Norfolk holiday home. Sleeping eight guests, the generous, four-bedroom retreat, which accepts canine companions, makes a perfect base for a group escape or celebration. With a wood burner to play games beside on winter evenings and a lawned garden for summer BBQs, the detached, two-storey property is an ideal option at any time of year.

Return from your shopping trips to unpack your Norfolk produce in the stylish kitchen/diner. Make a cup of fresh coffee in the machine or pour yourself a glass of chilled wine then prepare a delicious meal and call everyone through to the table. Spread out into the lounge afterwards, stoking up the wood burner during colder months so it throws out a cosy glow, then settle down to watch the Smart TV or listen to the Sonos sound system. There is also a handy utility room and a WC downstairs. When all the fun is over and you are ready to head off to bed, follow the stairs up to the first floor. Here there are two king-size bedrooms, one with an en-suite shower room, plus a twin and a single, with additional single trundle bed. The family bathroom is also at this level. Take in the sea air out in the garden as often as the weather permits and sit out here chatting on summer evenings as the sun sets. There is parking for three cars at this house.

Venture 4.5 miles into Burnham Market to find an array of interesting shops and eateries set elegantly around the central green. Wells-next-the-Sea, 9.5 miles away, is a bustling seaside town, with colourful huts lining its beach and a light railway that runs to the picturesque village of Walsingham.
