Resting at the heart of the Peak District, Tideswell also makes a great base for long walks through spellbinding countryside, with landmarks and attractions including Water-Cum-Jolly Dale, the plague village of Eyam, and Froggatt Edge, all within 8 miles. Just 9 miles to the north, the village of Castleton is home to the fantastic Blue John Cavern. The historic spa town of Buxton is 9 miles west, and home to the famous Buxton Opera House, The Pump Room, Poole’s Cavern, Solomon’s Temple and Buxton Crescent. This is an ideal base if you are planning to visit Buxton's International Music and Arts festival in July.

The cottage also features a sociable dining room with a charming, farmhouse-style table and chairs, as well as a cheerful breakfast room over by the stylishly designed kitchen.
