Thrift cottage is a charming cottage retaining lots of original features like panelled doors, a traditional dresser and a lovely stone fireplace with wood burner. In a little parade of cottages close to the centre of this picturesque village, you can really feel part of local life. It's still milk and eggs from the milkman. The Queen Anne pub is famed for its hearty meals and great ale! Great Hucklow is out in the 'wilds' of Derbyshire in the real Peak District with its patchwork of stone walls and fields, fantastic stone outcrops, magnificent dales and lovely sparkling rivers. Climb to the top of Hucklow Edge as the paragliders float by, have a pint in the Barrel Inn and just marvel at one of the best views in the world. Yet the interesting 'plague' village of Eyam is just a few minutes' drive away, as is Tideswell with its range of shops, pubs, cafes and 'Cathedral of the Peak' church. Then in complete contrast you are not far from attractions as diverse as Chatsworth House, Carsington Water, Castleton's caverns, the National Tramway Museum.

Bedroom 1: with king size bed, built-in wardrobes and traditional pine chest of drawers.


Bedroom 2: with pine framed twin beds.


Parking is on the lane right outside the cottage or on nearby lanes.


Heating by electric panel heaters (do not cover!); an initial supply of logs is provided for the stove.
