This characterful cottage is perfectly located for those wishing to explore the coastal town of Whitby, with its range of shops, restaurants and picturesque cobbled streets. Living spaces are spread across three floors, with three stylish bedrooms sleeping up to five guests. When you return after a memorable day on the beach, just over a mile away, you can cosy up in front of the wood burner and unwind in five-star comfort.

The relaxing lounge is the heart of the home, with its wood burner and Smart TV surrounded by sumptuous seating. When you’re craving some home-cooked food, you can make the most of the facilities on offer in the kitchen/dining room – and pour yourself some drinks from the bar area. Also on the ground floor is a family shower room. When night falls, you can head up the stairs to the first floor where you’ll find a king-size bedroom, a single bedroom, and a family bathroom. Climb another set of steep cottage-style stairs to the second floor to discover an attic-style king-size bedroom. Finally, the small courtyard at the front of the cottage, complete with seating, is perfect for al fresco evenings.

Climb the famous 199 steps to Whitby Abbey (1.5 miles away) and enjoy sweeping views across the town – it is even said to have inspired the famous novel ‘Dracula’. For more history, take a stroll around the vibrant harbour where the great Captain James Cook first worked as an apprentice before setting sail. A little further away (5.5 miles), you can find yourself in the stunning village of Robin Hood’s Bay, famous for its fossil-filled beaches, smugglers’ shipwrecks and pirates!
