About this property
2 Bed in Llandeilo (oc-waw313)
Set on a peaceful smallholding, this detached stone barn has been sympathetically updated and imaginatively converted to make a charming holiday retreat. With ample space for up to four guests, the barn enjoys a tranquil rural location, with glorious views across the Cothi Valley. Perfect for couples and smaller families, this characterful lodge features timber beams, vaulted ceilings, whitewashed stone walls and a cosy crog loft above the main living space. The owners are happy to show guests around the farm, with chickens, goats, ducks, sheep, cattle and four acres of woodland. Guests can also help collect eggs and feed the animals.
A step leads up into the property where you will find the welcoming open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner which makes a lovely space for everyone to unwind and enjoy a favourite family meal together. A wooden stepladder leads up to the crog loft bedroom which overlooks the lounge and features two single beds, pine-clad sloping ceilings and a safety gate. A step leads down from the lounge to the cosy main bedroom with a comfortable double bed and a range of pine furnishings. The property also has a stylish shower room. Stepping outside, there’s a charming decked patio to the front of the property, providing a relaxing spot for a morning coffee. The barn also has an enclosed back garden on two levels, with steep, stepped access and featuring a summer house and far-reaching views.
The friendly town of Llandeilo (10.5 miles) has a choice of great places to eat and drink and borders the beautiful Dinefwr estate. To the east, the Brecon Beacons National Park (11.5 miles) offers miles of glorious breathtaking walks and bike trails. Other local attractions include Carreg Cennen Castle, Dryslwyn Castle, Talley Woodlands, Brechfa Forest and the National Botanic Garden of Wales, all within 15 miles.
