About this property
3 Bed in Newlyn (oc-s33015)
An impressive, modern seaside cottage, this single-storey retreat enjoys a commanding position looking out over Newlyn and the sea. Sleeping six guests, the three-bedroom holiday home is less than 0.5 miles from the heart of the fishing port, with its interesting selection of shops and restaurants. Stroll the same distance to visit the famous Newlyn Art Gallery or to pick up the South West Coast Path. Reserve a seat on a wildlife cruise from the harbour, also 0.5 miles away, and spend warm days swimming or surfing from Newlyn Tolcarne Beach, just under 1 mile away. Picture-postcard Lamorna Cove, with its clear waters and dramatic cliffs, is 4 miles away. Plan a day trip to Marazion, 6 miles away, then take a boat over to magical St Michael’s Mount, with its historic castle and garden. At certain times, you can also walk there via the causeway when the tide is out.
Head inside to find bright, modern accommodation designed to maximise the incredible views. As you enter, you will immediately come upon the sumptuous bedrooms and stylish bathrooms. To the left, there is a dual-aspect king-size, with the luxury of a chic en-suite shower room, while to the right is a twin bedroom that can also be arranged as a super-king-size if discussed at booking. The lovely double bedroom and the family bathroom, which offers both a shower and a bath, can also be found here. Wander on down the hallway to emerge in the magnificent, L-shaped, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. This gorgeous space has high vaulted ceilings and beautiful wooden beams. At one end, a great bank of glass frames the view and brings the natural light flooding in. Slide the patio doors back during the summer months to bring a sea breeze in. Sink back on the plump sofas to soak up the scenery or watch the Smart TV. Amble over to the generous kitchen to find all the equipment you need to help you cater for your party whenever you choose not to dine out. Rustle up delicious feasts, then head to the dining table and gather round for lively holiday meals. A utility space, with a washing machine and tumble dryer, is in the basement, which is accessed from the terrace.
Step out onto the glass-fronted balcony from the living space to survey the Cornish coast. Congregate on the raised terrace to dine against the picturesque backdrop. Parking for this cottage is on a driveway approximately 20 metres away.
