About this property

2 Bed in Mousehole (oc-threeb)

This characterful traditional Cornish cottage is located in the picturesque fishing village of Mousehole and is perfect for couples, families or friends looking for a peaceful holiday. The harbourside and shops are less than half a mile away, where you can enjoy watching the fishing boats coming and going or try your hand at crabbing from the harbour wall.

This attractive two-storey property oozes charm with exposed ceiling beams ad white-washed stone walls and is stylishly furnished in bold colours and a coastal theme bringing a contemporary vibrancy to the original cottage features. There is no doubt that you are welcome here and that your stay will be comfortable. The ground floor lounge has colourful sofas, and the striking granite fireplace will catch your eye complete with a wood burner to keep things cosy in the cooler months, so you can sit back, relax, and enjoy watching the TV all year round. The kitchen has a farmhouse feel and all the contemporary appliances you need to rustle up some tasty treats. A conservatory provides additional social space and overlooks the front garden. On the first floor, you’ll find a double bedroom and a twin bedroom and a bathroom. Head outside to the enclosed front garden with seating to dine alfresco. Head to the rear of the property and you’ll discover the very small courtyard.

Mousehole was popular with writers and artists, and the local gallery at Penlee (3 miles) is worth a visit. Walkers have access to the South West Coast Path, and you can walk six miles to stunning Marazion Beach, which is perfect for water sports and has unrivalled views across the causeway to iconic St Michael’s Mount. A trip to Porthcurno (8.5 miles) and an evening at The Minack open-air theatre (book ahead) will be an unforgettable day.
