The beautiful River Esk flows past the development on its gentle journey to Whitby Harbour, attracting a wealth of wildlife and offering calm waters for paddleboarding and rowing. Dogs are warmly welcomed, and the surrounding countryside, riverside paths and dog-friendly beaches make this an excellent choice for pet-owners.

Just a short journey away lies Whitby, a town rich in character and full of things to see and do. Explore the atmospheric Whitby Abbey, whose dramatic clifftop ruins inspired Bram Stoker’s Dracula, or wander the quaint cobbled streets lined with independent shops, cafés and traditional fish-and-chip restaurants. Families will love the sandy beach, bustling harbour, and boat trips offering close-up views of the coastline. Whitby Museum, Pannett Park, and the famous 199 Steps add to the town’s charm, while the North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway provides a nostalgic journey through breathtaking scenery.
