Micklegate leads you into the city centre and again has some great cafes, restaurants, pubs and bars, and independent shops. Partisan, Rattle Owl and Skosh are all highly recommended places to eat during your visit.

They could not have possibly been more helpful. We asked for extra bedding and they dropped it off. Helped with parking. Then when one of our group left something there they worked with us to get it back!!!!Place is perfectly located. Every amenity you could want. Close to the walls of York for a nice walk.Do not hesitate to book this!
A lovely setting for our family gathering. The promise that the house easily accommodated 6 was delightfully accurate. Large dedicated dining room allowed the family time around the table so important to us. While too chilly to enjoy the patio it was surely an inviting space. So nice to have two full baths. Beautiful kitchen - but had to purchase a few basic items like a bowl to make a salad. Very well placed. Lovely local food shops just a short walk away yet the home is in a quiet residential neighborhood. Any questions we had got an immediate response. Many thanks for a wonderful week.
Five of us stayed here for a weekend break. The location was great, we were in the heart of the city in around 10 minutes. The property was clean and comfortable, the perfect place for a York break!
ideally situated for the station, visitors attractions and shops. House very comfortable and clean. Lovely quality fixtures and fittings. Great communication from Jeremy. Great stay, would recommend
Quiet neighborhood experience that's close enough to the action
We had a great 2 night stay. The space is charming and comfortable. It was great to come back to a quiet, residential neighborhood. But it's close enough to everything you want to see that you can easily walk to it and do it. Highly recommended.
We had a lovely stay in this heritage property in York. Check-in was easy and all communication with the hosts was timely and friendly and helpful. The house is in a great location. We did not have a car and easily walked or took city buses to/from the train station and attractions. It was so close to the city centre that even my 5-year-old could walk from the house to the Minster and back without complaint. The home is clean, updated, and beautifully set up for a family or group of friends; on the main level are all the living spaces plus a comfortable double bedroom with full-ensuite and a view to the charming patio. Up the stairs is a primary bedroom with a queen bed, a bedroom with 2 single beds, and a full bathroom including a giant soaking tub and separate walk-in shower. The updates are thoughtful and retained a lot of the character of the home. I appreciated that tea, coffee, sugar, and cooking essentials like olive oil and salt & pepper were provided in the modern kitchen. I would absolutely recommend this rental and would stay here again next time we are in York. It was a delightful home away from home.
