Homelands is a charitable trust which provides accessible luxury self catering accommodation in 9 purpose built lodges (Massney, Cardy, Keil, Drummochy, Selkirk, Largo, Lundin, Durham and Emsdorf). The lodges are situated in the picturesque village of Lundin Links overlooking Lundin Links Golf course with open views to Edinburgh over the Firth of Forth.

Lundin Links sits just 12 miles from St Andrews, the home of golf, and a short distance from the East Neuk's rugged coastline and its character filled fishing villages such as Crail, Anstruther, and Pitenweem. Lower Largo and Lundin Links themselves are famed for their links to the original Robinson Crusoe (Alexander Selkirk) whose birthplace in Lower Largo is a short distance from the Lodge. The village features a bar, restaurant, sports club (including tennis courts) and a small parade of shops including pharmacy, butchers, bakers, post office, and general store all within a short distance of the lodges.

The region is famed for its outdoor sports/activities, water sports, history and fresh produce / sea food; served in many of the local restaurants which range from Michelin Starred to world famous and favoured by Royals fish and chips in Anstruther.

Further afield we are an hour from Edinburgh (Scotland's Capital City) and Dundee which houses the Discovery museum and V&A Dundee, Scotland’s first design museum

The lodges have been specifically designed with accessibility in mind and a wealth of features have been incorporated into the designs to ensure they are as accessible as possible, including specialist support equipment/ facilities such as ceiling tracking hoists, a full spacious wetroom, profiling beds, airflow mattress, Clos-o-Mat toilet (depending upon lodge) and riser/recliner chair. We can also provide a range of specialist equipment free of charge on request such as mobile hoists, various shower chairs, a shower trolley, and equipment for people who have a hearing loss. These specialist items must be booked in advance and are allocated on a first come first served basis. Perfect Stay

Great find. House perfectly suited our families needs. Spotlessly clean, very comfortable with lots of much appreciated little touches. Set in a quit location with beautiful views of the golf link and sea - stunning! Look forward to returning soon.

First time visiting Homelands and we were all very impressed with everything.

We,husband,daughter and her husband loved th lodge. It was very spacious and light. The decor was very up to date,and everything you could need was there. The area was great for visiting and sightseeing. Even the outside area of the lodge was great,we enjoyed an afternoon sitting in the sun.

A Memorable Holiday Experience

I just returned from an amazing holiday at Homelands , and I couldn't be more pleased with my experience! From the moment we arrived, everything was seamless. The accommodations at Homelands were fantastic. The room was spacious, clean, and had breathtaking views. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome throughout our stay.

great stay

we have stayed at homelands many times, but this was the first in Selkirk, it was clean, well equipped and just what id expect from Homelands. the staff are all friendly and will help with anything. all things you could possibly need are there and in fantastic working order. thanks again for another amazing stay. we look forward to our next.

Great place

Stayed here with family. Mum uses a wheelchair. The property was fantastic with all the equipment we required in place. There is a lovely view over the golf course and beach and sea. We were lucky with the weather and able to use the patio outside. It’s a lovely area with plenty to see and do if required or just enjoy the peace and beautiful scenery. Would totally recommend.

Faultless Luxury Accessible Accomodation

We booked the Selkirk lodge for our very first holiday as a family for four. Very well located in the beautiful East Neuk of Fife. What hit us immediately on arrival was the size and quality of the lodge. We have stayed at a number of accessible properties and this is easily the most luxurious. Incredibly well equipped, which meant we didn't have to bring nearly as much "stuff" as we usually have to do. We felt comfortable and relaxed, which is a novelty in our life. The accomodation was so good that we have already booked the very same lodge for next year. Can't wait!

A great stay but issues with public transport access.

Excellent value for money, we had everything we needed and it was really spacious. Plenty of entertainment in the lodge including a smart tv. The mattress on the profiling bed was so comfortable we bought one when we got home. The bedding was a hit with everyone. If you have a disability you would struggle to find a better place to stay. However if you are a wheelchair user you probably would need a car as the busses in the area are not well maintained and we had a lot of trouble accessing them.

3rd stay

Had a lovely week - so easy to relax. The house was well equipped. What I like is that it’s modern and and cheerful. We had a bbq on the patio and it was a a real sunspot. We had days out and nice food- I recommend the the Cullin Skink at the Crusoe. If you need carers I was looked after by Handycare based in Pittenweem who were great. Tiny things- whirligig in the garden is not working, more teatowels and had to make the dining table taller with books so I could get my legs under in the wheelchair !

The whirleygig has now been fixed - we had only installed them a few weeks previous. Will pass on about tea towels to our cleaning staff. SELKIRK STAY

We had a an amazing stay, from the fantastic customer care before our stay, via emails and telephone calls, nothing was a bother. The Selkirk house was absolutely spotless and all the facilities we needed for my mum's care was all there. The gardens are absolutely beautiful, our family had such a great time relaxing there. The level of detail given of places to visit and eat in the little book was much appreciated! This was our second visit to Homeland Trust Fife and we would definitely recommend to others. We can't wait to book up again. Many thanks to all the people who work so hard to make this beautiful place such a special place for us.

Week at Selkirk property

This facility provides excellent accommodation for families with members who have accessibility needs. The build is large with superb access, hoist support, adapted bathrooms and at the same time, not compromising on high standards of comfort and detail. The location is great. The views out across the golf course and to the Firth of Forth alongside nicely maintained grounds are lovely. The local town of Leven has a few useful places & supermarkets plus the train to Edinburgh if needed. Depending on accessibility, you can get to the village of Lower Largo which has a couple of pubs and is a nice harbour for a visit. Homelands is a great asset for families looking for a good, practical space to have a break for normal life.

Stay at Selkirk was very pleasant- everything was of a great standard.

I be back again! The design and faculties at the lodge are really a home from home. I enjoyed my holiday as I didn’t have to worry about anything. I had to raise the dining table legs in order to get my legs under in my wheelchair. We propped on some books. The downstairs room with the disabled equipment was very comfortable- I would have liked an area for doing my makeup and hair though. Those are very minor points though!

Fantastic 2nd visit

After searching for many years for the ideal place to visit that meets my needs we finally came across Homelands Trust last year (this was our 2nd visit) and we’re so glad we did, the facilities are the best we have came across after trying many others with disabled facilities, most disabilities have different needs to help in every day life but Homelands seem to have thought about almost anything that anyone would need,I had difficulty getting out of bed because of the height of the mattress (profile bed does not suit my needs) and as soon as it was mentioned the next day to Pam she had us sorted out with another lower one right away, Helen was also a great help explaining a few things to us and helping with the heating, nothing seems to be a bother and for that we are very grateful, we certainly wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Homelands to anyone. We are already looking for our next visit.

A good experience

We had a great and memorable time at Homelands. We enjoyed our stay especially the calm and welcoming atmosphere. The house was met in a very clean state, well arranged and everything we needed were available. Our service user was settled and relaxed throughout the stay. She slept well and was calm. All equipment available for her were excellent. Homelands is indeed a lovely place.

Comfortable and great location

Perfect accessible accommodation

Perfect accommodation with everything you could need for a holiday with a family member who is a wheelchair user. Location was great with days out in St Andrews, Dundee, Edinburgh and more local for Craigtoun country park and walks to the local farm shop for lunch. It was our 3rd stay and we’ll definitely be back again!

Weekend break

This is a lovely spotless lodge Great for my mum who had a stroke last year and now uses a wheelchair There was me mum my grown up daughter and niece. We had a great time mum loved it snd feel completely safe the whole time she was there All kitchen equipment is of the highest standard as is bedding towels We will defo be back and are booking for next spring soon

Fantastic place to stay

The house was clean, comfortable and well maintained . Had all facilities needed and more .. equipment asked for was waiting for us on arrival.. book in and book out was easy no issues.. quiet relaxing like being in your own home . Would highly recommend
