This annex property is located in the hill village of Middleton by Wirksworth. Attached to the owner’s property the cottage enjoys access to 1½-acre gardens and woodland adjacent to the High Peak Trail and is within a mile of Wirksworth. The cottages garden attracts many birds and is great for bird watching from the windows. Only a few hundred yards from the Middleton top visitors centre, with its historical engine house and cycle hire centre, the cottage is surrounded by an abundance of walks and cycle routes. Two good, local country pubs in Middleton by Wirksworth are within a few minutes walk from the cottage, whilst local shops and more places to eat can be found nearby in Wirksworth, The Gem of the Peak. Heritage abounds with the Arkwright Mill World Heritage Site in Cromford, quirky and historic Wirksworth with its steam railway, Crich Tramway museum and other attractions - all within a few miles.
