Whitby is a town rich in history and culture. The iconic Whitby Abbey perched high on the cliffs, inspired the setting for Dracula and offers breathtaking views after climbing the famous 199 steps.
The town is also home to the Captain Cook Memorial Museum, celebrating the town’s seafaring heritage, and the whalebone arch, which symbolizes Whitby’s whaling history. The East Side and Old Town have been inspiring visitors, Artists, and writers for over 1500 years and are probably most famously featured in Bram Stoker’s Gothic novel "Dracula". Just imagine being where Stoker immortalized the black hound escaping up the 199 steps from the ship-wrecked Demeter on Tate Hill Sands, all literally on the doorstep of Quincey Cottage Whitby!

Absolute gem - not overstating. Property has been skillfully refurbished to a very high standard. Immaculately clean, tasteful decor, excellent facilities. Thoughtful touches throughout. Location simply could not be more ideal. Want to keep this secret to ourselves, but it's only right we share how perfect our stay was! Cannot recommend more highly.
