It’s a Grade II* listed gem from the 1600s, with some recent royal connections and is beautifully situated in the parkland of Lulworth Castle, where you can wander most days. This unique property sleeps up to eight guests in luxury and offers a truly memorable stay in one of Dorset’s most enchanting settings. 

You’ll find original period features like exposed beams and flagstone floors, which are thoughtfully combined with elegant, comfortable interiors, creating a warm and inviting home that’s as special as its surroundings. 

The majestic estate is just a few steps from your door, and the location is nothing short of magical. Whether you’re gathering the family for a multigenerational getaway or looking for a refined base for a wedding celebration at Lulworth Castle, Park Lodge provides space, tranquillity and a real sense of occasion.

A short drive takes you to the iconic coastal wonders of Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door, while back at home, the peaceful setting and rich heritage make this a place to reconnect, relax and revel in Dorset’s natural and historic beauty.

If you want to wander further afield, the Lodge serves as a perfect touring base for the whole of Dorset.
Just a quick walk through the beautiful castle grounds will take you to The Weld Arms Pub & Kitchen, where you can find delicious food made with local ingredients. Nearby, Past & Presents has a lovely mix of local art, vintage treasures and homeware.

Layout: 

Park Lodge offers elegant accommodation for up to eight guests across four generously proportioned bedrooms. Three of the rooms feature sumptuous super king-size beds that can be configured as twins upon request, while the fourth is appointed with a luxurious king size bed—making the lodge perfectly suited for families or groups seeking flexibility and space. Each bed is fitted with a premium Hypnos Cashmere mattress, renowned for its exceptional comfort and craftsmanship. Each bedroom is lovingly furnished with cosy touches, including goose down and microfibre pillows, crisp white Egyptian cotton sheets, fluffy towels and a soft cotton robe for each guest to enjoy.

Inside, you can unwind in the warm, inviting atmosphere of the hunting lodge-style sitting and dining areas, each with a big log burner and a charming original fireplace. Outside, the lovely garden is perfect for relaxing and breathing in the fresh country air, while the private rear terrace, with plenty of seating, is ideal for alfresco dining or simply relaxing under the open sky.

The country-style kitchen is beautifully equipped, with a large electric oven and gas hob, microwave, dishwasher and an American-style fridge-freezer. A walk-in pantry nearby offers extra storage and includes an extra fridge—great for keeping drinks cold. A separate utility room has a washing machine and tumble dryer for added convenience. There’s also a spacious WC on the ground floor.

Each bathroom has our signature fragranced toiletries: Lulworth body wash, hand soap and shampoo, which you can buy at our Lulworth Cove Gift Shop. Central heating and Wi-Fi are available throughout the property.

To make your stay as comfortable as possible, we’ve put together a welcome folder with all the local tips and cottage details you need. Our holiday cottage team is always ready to give you some personal advice—whether it’s about the best place to eat, a lovely walk or the freshest local food. Plus, there’s a welcome basket waiting for you with local bread, eggs, milk, biscuits, jam, tea, coffee and sugar.

We’ve also made sure you have everything you need with private parking for up to four cars. Your stay includes free parking for up to four vehicles across the Lulworth Estate, so you can easily visit Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove and Lulworth Castle Park without any worries. If you’re feeling adventurous and want to explore more, there’s a bus stop in West Lulworth that connects you to Poole, Weymouth and Swanage. And if you’re heading to London, the closest train station in Wool has direct service to Waterloo.

Park Lodge is situated close to the area of the Lulworth Ranges, where military training and live firing may occasionally be heard dependent on wind direction, with beautiful walks across them when the ranges are open.
