About this property

2 Bed in Kilmington (oc-c34888)

Set within a National Landscape, this delightful stone barn conversion offers a truly idyllic countryside retreat, just moments from the stunning Devon and Dorset coastline. Situated on a picturesque working farm within the owners' grounds, with a variety of beautiful horses grazing in the fields, you’ll feel right at home within the heart of Devon. The nearby market town of Axminster, just 3.5 miles away, offers a vibrant weekly market along with a variety of independent shops, while the charming seaside town of Lyme Regis, 8 miles away, boasts a sandy beach and historic harbour. Explore further along the Jurassic Coast to discover Seaton (9 miles), Beer (11 miles), Branscombe (13 miles) and Sidmouth (16.5 miles), each offering its own unique coastal appeal. The beautiful town of Bridport is 12 miles away and offers a vibrant and eclectic street market twice a week. Colmers Hill offers a fun family walk and a pit stop at Symondsbury Estate for coffee and cake. Golden Cap is a landmark in itself with woodland and coastal walks aplenty. With miles of countryside walks and quiet lanes right on your doorstep, enjoy a perfect retreat for couples, families and four-legged friends alike.

Enter the barn into the open-plan living space, kick off your shoes, and hang your coat to the right. Once inside and warm, snuggle up on the large sofa by the Smart TV and settle down, ready for the evening. A dining table sits adjacent to the room, with plenty of space for guests. Up a single step into the well-equipped kitchen, you’ll find everything you need to cook up some evening meals with locally sourced produce. The contemporary styling continues into the downstairs shower room off the kitchen, which boasts a large walk-in shower and WC. Moving upstairs, a snug area with a TV and some bean bag seating awaits, great for occupying the children if it clouds over. To the right of the hall is a double bedroom with slanted ceilings, oozing country charm with beamed supports. Opposite the hallway to your left is a twin bedroom with an en-suite bathroom with a bath and WC.

Outside, enjoy a private decked space which is enclosed so that your four-legged friends can relax. To the side of the cottage is a large BBQ, perfect for enjoying some al fresco dining and taking in the far-reaching countryside views. Private parking for two cars is provided.
