This area is renowned for its agricultural land and denoted by the local rich, dark red soil. Bickleigh’s five-arched bridge spans the River Exe and is reputedly the inspiration for Simon & Garfunkel’s, ‘Bridge over Troubled Water’. Railway enthusiasts will enjoy the Devon Railway Centre and Model World housed in the Victorian station buildings, ideal for young children. On rainy days, take the family to Wall in the Hall for indoor climbing, only 10 minutes from this property. The town of Tiverton is just four miles away, which offers a pretty canal offering boat trips, while a little further is the historic cathedral city of Exeter. Enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the location, with the coast within an hours drive.
