Walk around beautiful Loweswater itself, 3 miles away, or hike to Crummock Water, 3.5 miles away, taking in the spectacular mountain views on the route. Go horse-riding or mountain biking in the area. Drive 7 miles to Cockermouth, birthplace of William Wordsworth, to shop for delicious local produce, or spend the afternoon in Keswick, 17 miles away, to browse in its independent outlets and perhaps dine out.
Enter this beautiful barn conversion to discover its clever, upside-down layout. Find the generous reception hall gives access to four of the bedrooms: these include two doubles, a twin and a bunk room. There is also a family bathroom, with WC, hand basin , bath and separate shower, plus a separate WC and a utility room, with washing machine and tumble dryer at this level. Venture upstairs to find your splendid lounge/diner, with its high vaulted and beamed ceiling. Settle on the sofas in here to watch TV or play a game together.
