About this property

1 Bed in Frampton Mansell (oc-t45435)

For a peaceful escape surrounded by rolling Cotswold countryside, this contemporary timber lodge is a wonderful choice for couples looking to slow the pace. It enjoys a tranquil position on a mature estate, with scenic walking routes beginning almost from the doorstep. For an easy evening out, stroll 500 metres uphill to the welcoming local 17th-century pub, renowned for its open fires and sweeping valley views. You can walk up and out of the village to an award-winning farm shop for picking up supplies. Nature lovers can wander through the ancient woodland at Siccaridge Wood (1 miles) or explore the hillside footpaths around Chalford (2 miles). Stroud (7 miles) is known for its farmers' market and independent shops, while Cirencester (9.5 miles) has Roman history, boutiques and inviting cafés. Plan a day out to the magnificent Sudeley Castle (22 miles) for beautiful gardens, fascinating history and memorable scenery.

After parking up in your private parking space, head along the fully lit pathway and external steps leading down to the property, where you’ll enter using the key safe. Inside is a lovely entrance area where you can leave coats and shoes before stepping into the split-level interior. Two internal steps lead to the bright upper level, which features a well-equipped kitchen with a breakfast bar positioned beneath a large picture window – a lovely spot for sipping morning coffee while looking out across the shared lawns. Opposite is a modern shower room with a spacious walk-in shower and WC. Back on the lower level, a dining area leads into the welcoming lounge, complete with a Smart TV and a charming travel library. Beyond that, the inviting king-size bedroom is a perfect, restful space to lay your head.

Outside are two separate places to enjoy the fresh air: a gravel patio which is furnished with a table, chairs and deck chairs for leisurely breakfasts, plus has a BBQ, and a second bistro seating area beside the entrance. Although the owners live next door and occasionally require access to an adjoining garage, guest privacy is carefully respected throughout your stay. Private parking is available for one car.
