About this property
Historic Old West Lawrence - Minutes to beautiful Mass St, KU, Sports Pavillion
Our sunny bungalow is in lovely Old West Lawrence, a historic residential neighborhood. It is 5 blocks to Downtown, a straight shot up the Hill to Memorial Stadium, and well within walking distance to the rest of Campus. We have two full bedrooms and a four-season porch. The porch and deck make a lovely place to enjoy the good weather. While your group will be close enough for creating special memories, there are still private spaces to discover and enjoy in this cozy, well-designed home.
Please note: High-Speed data is only available 3 business days after your confirmed reservation. If your stay starts before then, kindly bring your own "hot spot". Thank you for understanding!
After sleeping soundly in our hide-away bungalow, in ten minutes you will arrive at the bespoke venues, shops, bars, and restaurants in beautiful Downtown Lawrence.
This 900-square-foot gem is fully remodeled and pristine. She is a beautiful "middle sister" to two identical bungalows on either side, all lovingly built in the 1920s by a father for each of his three daughters.
You will have access to the entire house, including the front porch and back deck. The basement is inaccessible to guests.
This is our stay-cation house so we are only five miles away for answering any questions or help you out as best we can!
Tree-lined, streets, painted ladies, Edwardian/Victorian/vernacular architecture abound in this gold nugget neighborhood.
Walking is a great way to get to Campus and Downtown from our home. That being said, there is ample on-street parking on our block (unless its Game Day!)
Our well-equipped and pristine home is ideal for well-behaved, responsible, and considerate guests. We have great neighbors and would like them to feel the same way towards us. We want to show you the best that Lawrence has to offer and can only do so if everybody's respectful.
Please note: The initial rate assumes up to two guests; there is a small incremental fee of $10 per guest-night for Guests 3 - 5.
Thank you for understanding.
*Safety First: You’ve come to the right place! I never advertise this listing on the website beginning with a male first name.*
With a cleanliness rating of 4.9/5.0 and reviews that, unaidedly, compliment the cleanliness of the home, please know that well-before the covid-19 epidemic I have prided myself on offering guests a sparkling clean home.
I am not the least expensive short-term rental in town and this is in part because It takes me an average of 4 hours to clean after each stay; sheets and towels are purposely white cotton, so bleached, floors are mopped, and surfaces are washed with detergent or soap and water.
In addition to these pre-existing measures to clean and disinfect, I have adopted the CDC's recommendation to clean commonly-touched surfaces with a bleach-water mixture. This includes tables, doorknobs, light switches, countertops, handles, desks, toilets, faucets, and sinks.

About the host
Hosted by Leda SEDLOCK

I like dog-walking, market research, my home, and paradoxically, travel! I cannot live without coffee with cream, my dog, Ben, my husband, Charlie, and my 3 kids, usually in that order.
I love Northern California, Vermont, and pretty hiking trails, anywhere in the world.
We often travel with my 80 year-old (young) mom, Penelope, to keep us calm and positive. She's inspirational.
My motto: "No day is over if it makes a memory."

Why they chose this property
This 950 square-foot home is a beautiful "middle sister" to two identical bungalows on either side, all lovingly built in the 1920's by a father for each his three daughters.
We purchased the house over 24 years ago for its perfect size for newlyweds and amazing location. As our family grew bigger, we outgrew it and moved five miles West of Downtown Lawrence. Through the ensuing years we rented it. In Fall 2017 we renovated it, inside and out, and are proud to be able to use her as our stay-cation home.
