Stunning Waterfront Cottage 30 Mins. From Kingston Perfect for Multiple Families

Perfect for multiple family vacations!

4200 square foot cottage on an elevated 3 acre waterfront lot. There is large level lawn area with a swing set for the kids, Horseshoe pits for the adults and a hammock pit with a lay down hammock and hammock chairs.

The 24 x 12 screened in porch has a wood stove, ceiling fans and wicker rocking chairs for you to enjoy the views over the lake. Lake side of the cottage has a 54 x 6 covered porch with benches and rocking chairs as well as a large slate dining table with seating for 8.

Down at the lake you will find a shoreline deck with a cabinet that houses a fridge to keep your drinks and snacks cold. The 56 foot long floating dock in our secluded bay has a 20'x20' end with a jumping platform, 6 composite Muskoka chairs and table.

There is a floating raft anchored in the bay with a slide for the kids and there is floating foam matt and usually at least one inflatable raft anchored for soaking up the sun. Included with your rental are 3 adult kayaks, 1 child kayak, two SUP's and a peddle boat. 14 Island lake has no public access so it is very quiet and has excellent fishing. The lake is stocked with bass, pike and pickerel.

The basement of the cottage has a comfortable rec room area with a large flat panel TV. There is also a games area with a foosball table, table hockey , air hockey and a table for game boards or puzzling. The main area upstairs houses the kitchen, dining area and family room with a floor to ceiling stone fireplace.

The kitchen is open allowing the chef to not miss out on any of the fun! The kitchen has all the amenities with granite counter tops and breakfast bar. There is a ceramic top stove and there is a large Napoleon BBQ on the front deck to keep everyone fed. All of the bedrooms have ceiling fans as well as the cottage being air conditioned for comfortable sleeping. All bed linens are provided.

The driveway loops through the property and has lots of space for parking. Being only 35 minutes from Kingston allows for easy day trips to enjoy local restaurants and sites. Rivendell Golf Course is a short 10 minute drive from the cottage making it easy to hit the links in the morning and still enjoy a full afternoon down at the lake.

Perfect family vacation spot

The cottage and waterfront were perfect for our 3-generation vacation. The cottage has enough space for everyone to gather together, or to spread out. The waterfront had everything we could want for relaxing and water fun (no weeds, sheltered inlet, paddle boards and kayaks). The kids loved the lily pad and jumping platform. This is our 2nd time staying here. We’d come again.

Another Amazing Family Getaway

Location was perfect for our families. We enjoyed the lake and fishing. On the one rainy day we played fooseball and board games with the kids. The firepit was perfect and we even got a small soccer game going on the open field. This is our second year back and we certainly are looking forward to next year. Five stars plus!

Family fun on the lake

Beautiful property , home and lakefront play area, with kayaks, paddle board, floats, clean life vests, and paddle boat. Deep, clean water for swimming and fishing, both kids and adults caught their fun share of sunnies, blue gills and pickerel and bass. The kitchen is well equipped, plenty of seating area for sit down meals. The beds are comfortable. We loved the morning coffee on the screened in porch and the evening sunsets there. One delight was using Merlin app to identify and call in the birds. We also enjoyed Kingston.

My adult kids and spouses and their wee ones spent a wonderful New Years week in this gorgeous home. The large home had everything we wanted. A large dining table, well stocked kitchen, comfy beds in spacious bedrooms. We loved the games room and being able to spread out yet feel cozy. The quick walk down the stairs to the lake was great for skating. David was very responsive and thoughtful. I would highly recommend.

Loved this property and cannot recommend it enough! The house is spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. It has everything you could possibly need and is very well thought out. The bedrooms are large but cozy and comfortable and there are lofts that the kids thought were great. The game room downstairs was a favorite with air hockey, foosball, a hockey game, and a table for games or puzzles....and there are tons of puzzles. We did 2 while we were there. The deck is great and the barbeque is fantastic. The large screen porch is lovely and ever so peaceful. As much as we loved the house, the star of the show is outdoors, The yard is great to play or do yard games...there is even a horseshoe pitch. There is a large walkway down to the lake which is just beautiful. Again, well thought out with even a small refridgerator for drinks at the waterfront. Very safe. We swam in clear water which was a perfect temperature. We used the kayaks, the peddle boat, and the paddle board. The fishing was great. We loved the jumping platform at the end of the large dock as well as the two floats and slide. The adirondack chairs on the dock are just the perfect place to relax. Bring goggles, the fish are curious and are easy to see. The owner provides a bag of firewood for a bonfire. There are plenty of seats in a storage container right near the fire pit. Be sure to check out the stars...the view from there is just phenomenal. Nearby we visted the town of Westport and and the city Kingston. It was nice exploring, but really, this property was our favorite place to be. The owners are cheerful and were readily available. Just a wonderful experience.

Family vacation

We had a very good week of vacation at David’s cottage. Everyone in our group said that the place looked much better in real life then what the pictures showed. The alarms went off when we checked in but David was very helpful in getting that all sorted out. The location was super nice. Probably the only thing that was a bit disappointing is that we were not able to put our boat anywhere in that lake because of lake association rules. But we were able to go boating on desert lake which is less then 10 minutes away. So that definitely didn’t ruin our time at all. I would definitely recommend this place to others if you’re looking for a nice private family vacation spot with lots of space in the cottage. Thanks a lot for letting us enjoy your place, David!!!👍🏼

Great Vacation Getaway

This cottage exceeded our expectations. It has everything you need for a great vacation without leaving the property. The cottage itself is amazing with lots of room to spread out even with 12 people. The dock, kayaks, paddle boat, dive platform, etc were all great for passing the time enjoying the sun and water. Beautiful, private setting. Would not hesitate to book again.

Beautiful cottage , property & lakefront.

Immaculate cottage, well- manicured lawn areas with a great waterfront! There was much to do for all ages both in the cottage itself & at the dock With the beautiful weather we spent a lot of our days at the lake , using the paddle boards, kayaks , & a canoe we brought. The jumping tower on the dock , and the large floating donut with the mat, as well as the slide were a huge hit with kids & adults alike. Loved our early morning coffee in the screened in porch , listening to the loons. Our meals were enjoyed at the outside large table, & the large bbq was used a lot . Our hosts inspite of being out of the country , were responsive when needed. Would definitely recommend this vacation spot! Would love to return ourselves.

This cottage was perfect for a disconnect from work and reconnect with family and friends. Kids loved it and adults too. The location is perfect and waterfront is incredible as well as protected from the wind. Kids were sad to leave and begging to go back next year. Well worth it.

Wonderful peaceful haven

My family of 8 had a wonderful week here. High end decor, furnishings and toys, inside and out! Loved the space and the choice of living areas inside and outside. The dock (fridge was a great help) was our main place to chill, swim, canoe and fish etc. Loved the floating lily pad and islands and slide. Fabulous Getaway

The property is stunning. The cottage was very well maintained and there was lots of room for 3 generations to enjoy this perfect Ontario lakeside property together. Dave was exceptionally responsive to all enquires. We were able to undertake some very unique activities. We enjoyed the quiet lake setting and swimming in the warm clear water. The screen porch was lovely to enjoy with a wood stove for cooler nights and you could look down on the lake and count fireflies in the trees. It was unclear to us by the online description that we were to bring towels and some basic supplies such as kitchen catchers and dishwasher soap but the Foodliner in Verona is only about 15 minutes away and it was easy to get what we needed. We clarified whether to bring towels before arriving. The kitchen is very well outfitted and we enjoyed using the kayaks, pedal boat and outdoor games. We would not hesitate to book the property again. All our family totally enjoyed our stay.

Perfect family retreat

Well maintained, spacious modern cottage

My family of 4 and a second family of 5 stayed at this cottage for a week. We had an outstanding time! Pros: -Very large cottage that Is well maintained, well thought out, modern and fully equipped - Very large property that is also well maintained and very well laid out and thought out - Waterfront dock (with fridge, canoes, paddle board and peddle boat) is outstanding. - There is a slide and some anchored floating devices in the bay - great for adults and kids - Lake is extremely quiet with minimal boat traffic. Great swimming AND fishing! Cons: -Access to water is quite far. You have to prep likely for an extended trip to water from cottage as going back and forth is long enough of a walk that it’s not practical. - no internet (if important to you). Bell cell signal is essentially non existent. Rogers cell signal is better.

Children of all ages enjoyed the many activities available inside, outside and at the waterfront.

Three generations of families spent a perfect week relaxing, playing and simply enjoying all this exceptional cottage had to offer. Inside and out this home has been beautifully decorated and landscaped. Sincere attention has been given to all your needs. The only extra you need to bring is towels.

Owner thought of everything

First class all the way. Construction/landscaping/amenities indicated professionalism. Owner thought of everything : One of the kids turned the lock and shut a bathroom door while exiting the bathroom and effectively blocked access. The owner actually had a "key" on the side of the fridge in case this happened !!

Excellent location on Fourteen Island Lake. Easy road access from highway 38. House is well designed

House is situated on a large open lot overlooking the lake. A good wide stairway provides access from the house to the large dock at the lake. Lots of chairs, kayaks etc means you can spend many hours having fun at the waters edge. The lake is quiet and safe. The kayaks allow you to travel the entire lake with some spirited paddling. The house itself is large open concept, nicely furnished and decorated. Bedrooms and bathrooms are well designed. The kitchen has everything a large family would need. Large second story deck with bbq and table and chairs are ideal for meals outside. A large screened room provides cover while feeling you you are still outside. A large open green space adjacent to the cottage gives plenty of room for outside activities unrelated to water. A fire pit for those relaxing night time get togethers.
