Most charming place in Rockport MA

I have stayed at many,many places in the country and this is by far my favorite spot! The Captains quarters is quaint and has so much charm and personality! It was clean and comfortable. We felt safe and it had a lot of privacy. The location was perfect too. We walked to all the shops and restaurants. We had great views! We will definitely come back or check out one of Matt’s other properties! I highly recommend Captains Quarters!!

Getaway with a friend

Sweet, very comfortable lodging short term. Perfect street location off-season if looking for a quirky, quiet, historic spot with immediate access to beautiful Nature.

Feedback

As for feedback I never got a checkout email, I have no idea what was expected. Towel situation needs to be addressed, the towels should either be replaced or enough to last a family for a week. We had 4 total towels for 6 nights with 4 people. There is no way possible to keep the floor dry while taking a shower, I’m not the biggest man as I am average size and could barely fit in shower let alone get clean.

Centrally located in the heart of Bearskin Neck- an artist's colony that features many galleries and shops from local artisans and other vendors. Breakfast, lunch and dinner spots are steps from the front door and offer some of the best food around! The Shalin Liu Performance Center is also a short walk from the house. Front Beach, Back Beach and Old Garden Beach are all in walking distance, while Good Harbor Beach, and Long Beach are a short drive away.

What makes this property unique

A historic building that was once the Sail Loft of Rockport. Exposed beams with the original stretcher hooks for mending sails still affix to some of the posts.
