Everything was better than advertised. Quiet and clean with a spectacular view. Only 30 min scenic drive to downtown. Perfect getaway! Hope to visit again!
This was our second stay at Blue Bear. The view is unbeatable, even compared to other houses in the neighborhood. The cabin is lovely, great attention to detail by the hosts and everything is comfortable. I highly recommend staying at Blue Bear!!
We loved it and will be back! Enjoyed listening to the coyotes at night. The cabin is just perfect and has a great view. We even saw a timber rattlesnake on the road in the neighborhood. Cabin had everything we needed and more!
The host Tom & Vickie were very easy to get in touch with and responded quickly when I had a question. The cabin was really nice and the view was incredible. The drive up the mountain was a little rough at times but was worth it for the view once you got to the top. I could of set on the back deck all day every day and just looked at the mountains. Thanks again for a great relaxing time that was much needed for me and my husband. We will be back.
We had an amazing stay at the blue bear cabin. The view was amazing and the home was cozy and had everything you need for a perfect weekend getaway! Will absolutely return!!
My wife and I were very pleased with the stay. We especially enjoyed the privacy and to location. Hosts Tom and Vicki were very pleasant and helpful. Overall a great experience

We’re happy you enjoyed your stay! We’d love to have you visit again.
We enjoy Bryson City area with all the outdoor activities on the rivers and mountains. The ride up the mountain to the cabin is safe but once a day round trip was enough for us. Our family had a great time all was quiet and comfortable.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Blue Bear Cabin. The place was very clean inside and out. The view is incredible!!! It is away from civilization and very quiet. The cabin is very quaint and cozy.
The cabin was exactly as described, and the view was amazing! The kitchen was very well stocked compared to other rentals I’ve stayed at, there were pots and pans to cook most anything! Everything felt very special, we will definitely be coming back to the blue bear!

Hi! We're Tom and Vicki. We love the Smoky Mountains and everything they have to offer. We live in Florida but travel as often as possible.
We hope you enjoy the cabin as much as we do!
Why they chose this property
We've been traveling to the mountains for years and always wanted a place to call home when we visit. We fell in love with the views at Alarka Highlands. We loved the proximity to Bryson City. We built the cabin for visitors like us in mind.
Enjoy!
