When viewing the property from outside driving up, it is shocking. Looks like an abandoned cabin. That’s for tax assessment purposes. Inside is immaculate! Clean, everything you could possibly need from the kitchen to the bathroom furnished. A super place to stay. Spotlessly cleaned. Great view of the city yet close. I will always try to return.

Doe Mountain Recreation Area
Cabin was conveniently located in town. We chose this cabin because it was located across the street from the doe mountain atv trails. Cabin was nice and cozy with a lot on amenities provided.

Weekend getaway
Enjoyed the older home and reading the history of the original owner and in a good location for us, close to everything in town, slight traffic noise did not bother us. We will be coming back.

As Advertised
We stay around MC at least once a month while waiting for our forever home to be finished. We usually stay at cabins out in the woods with no one around. We’ve been skeptical to stay here b/c of the location, but are so glad we gave it a go! Read the reviews, and you won’t be surprised or disappointed.(Except in a good way!) This place is clean, modern (& historic!) and centrally located. The traffic noise bothered me quite a bit, but I’m at the “everyone shut it!’ stage of my life! Just a few things to mention…hubby & I did sleep in separate beds & it was both troublesome & comforting…lol. The dryer sounds like she’s going to blow at any time…wouldn’t want to be on the toilet when she blows! (Speaking of which, the toilet rocks to & fro…soooo.) There is so much space inside & we were surprised there were 2 bathrooms. (Helpful hint: leave the bathroom doors open if it’s chilly…otherwise…burrrr!) There was a groundhog sunning itself on the porch when we returned from lunch…it made its way under the house. So, to sum it up, would we stay here again and recommend it to a friend? Absolutely 100% YES. It’s a unique place!

Great Stay
Centrally located and convenient to the nearby area. It is on the main road so can get noisy at times. Didn’t bother us. The bed is a double so my husband slept on the twin bed. We are used to a Queen bed. Very comfortable mattress. Has most of what you need to cook and prepare meals. We would definitely stay again.
