Retro lake house

Cute retro lake house needs a little TLC but over all had a great relaxing time at the property and the lake was amazing.

Visiting family

We were in the area to visit family nearby. This house was exactly what we needed as our home base and its “authentic retro” design was so cute. It was extremely easy to communicate with the home owner and the house was very clean. Crystal Lake is beautiful.

Beautiful View on quiet private road

Enjoyed a relaxing long weekend at this vintage bungalow on a quite private road. Nice large front porch to enjoy the beautiful views. Kate, the host, was very responsive to my inquiries and provided a lot of information on outdoor activities and restaurants nearby.

It’s great for the soul! The only problem was that we couldn’t stay longer. It makes you long for summer days with all the nostalgic feels. Kate was very responsive, helpful and informative.

Fun time at this house

It was a great weekend and a great location and house. The only thing is there wasn’t really any indication that there were neighbors very close, otherwise awesome place.

Mr.E&S

An older home but very clean and had everything we needed. Spent many hours on the front porch overlooking the beautiful lake. Very nice neighborhood even though the houses are close together.

Quaint and relaxing

The house was clean and cozy. It was an ideal location…a step back in time (plus WiFi!). The lake was beautiful and we really enjoyed taking our kayaks and paddle boards out each day! Manning’s ice cream was a special treat. The view from the front porch was spectacular! We will definitely be back!

Anniversary 2024

A beautiful little cabin right on the lake. Plenty of amenities (full kitchen, cookware and dishes, cable, DVD, Chromecast, fireplace) and a really pleasant, breezy atmosphere. I guess it could get louder the more people you bring with you but, for a couple, it's a wonderfully quiet and peaceful spot to stir up some romance. We both thoroughly enjoyed the house!

A step back in time!

From the moment we arrived we felt like we stepped back in time. This beautiful home is clean, quiet and feels like the slower days of our childhood. Kate was a great host and we loved the peaceful setting. This is the perfect place to relax and rewind!

nothing to do partly due to it rained the whole time we were there

because of the rain we had to stay indoors. The livingroom furniture was so broken down that you couldn't even sit on any of it,because when you did your butt hit the wooden struture and someboody had to pull you up..The kitchen was well stocked, but it needs a new stove top.bad..If those problems are replaced it would be a really nice place to stay. Now for the outside. The lake is beautiful but as far as fishing their were trees in the way so you couldn't cast your rod,and the pictures of all those nice decks don't belong to this house.very nice Richy Neighborhood and the neighbors are very friendly. To sume up this vacatoin spot,if you are looking for a place to bring your boat and you like being on the water this is the perfect spot for you.You will most definitely love it here.

House is desperate need of repair

The paint is peeling off walls in kitchen. Every electric heat register is rusted and held together with tape. Refrigerator door is broken and held with tape. Outside trim on porch is peeling badly. Carport post is broken and sad attempt to keep it from collapsing is horrible. Couch and loveseat are broken and very hard to sit on. Was told by host I would be getting some refund and now she will not respond to my emails.save your money!!!

Amazing Lakeside Home!

8 friends stayed for a long weekend and had the best time! The lake is GORGEOUS (water's warm!) and the house provides private access to it through a dock. The owner also provided several floaties, and we brought our own as well. The house was perfect in terms of sleeping arrangements and has a nice living room with a huge window and porch to look out at the water. The kitchen is old and the oven was broken, but we were alerted in advance and were compensated with complementary linens. The stove also wasn't working the first day (which the host did not know), but she worked with us IMMEDIATELY to get it fixed! She sent someone over to check the breaker and that solved the issue. The grill worked perfectly the whole time. Amazing communication! The only other issue we had was with the Chromecast and DVD player. The Chromecast works, but is very old so it constantly glitches (not the owner's fault) and would require at least 30 min to set up every time. The DVD player was missing cords, and even when we found some to hook it up, it didn't function. I'd recommend bringing an HDMI cord and laptop if you want to use the TV. Overall, we had an amazing weekend and would highly recommend this home!
