Fantastic cabin in a fantastic place
We thoroughly enjoyed the trip. The accommodations were perfect, and the owners were lovely people. There is plenty of hiking nearby, and it is a 40 minute drive to historic Nevada City. Yuba River is full of swimming holes, which are the perfect respite on a hot summer day. We were told that the cabins are open through the winter, so we are thinking of returning in the fall. Already looking forward to it!

Thank you kindly for such a wonderful review and assessment.
Each cabin we build originates in the heart as an inner design and then moves outward.
We so much enjoy living on this eco-retreat-preserve and love sharing it.
do come again.
Adam, the host was very friendly & responsive. The property is off the grid & off the beaten path, but if you take the time to walk around on the trails, it is beautiful & peaceful. We happened be there on a rainy weekend, so we were able to unwind by the wood stove & read a good book.
The cabin we were in could have used some spring cleaning. We spent some time in the first hour sweeping & cleaning surfaces, but we like it clean, even though we love to camp. Some may not care. Overall, it was lovely & we enjoyed the beautiful meadows.

thank you kindly for your visit and we will be sure to clean it better next time
This is truly a beautiful property! The forest and hiking are so majestic. It's very peaceful and quiet. It's a great place for meditation, reading, yoga and just being amongst those beautiful trees. I stayed for two weeks working on a book and it was just perfect. It's really glamping at its best. All the cabins are really sweet. The fires are perfect for the winter. I would describe the owner as acentric with a huge heart. I am definitely coming back here again.

You are more than welcome to visit anytime, and it would be a real treat to see you again.
I also so much appreciated you reading from your new book on Harriet Tubman who seems to be one of the most extraordinary warriors for freedom and light i have ever heard.

A gorgeous area and a beautiful cabin. Great place for a couple to go, and ample supplies to cook and clean dishes with. Make sure to keep the fire blazing in the stove and you'll stay warm
Had a wonderful stay in a winter wonderland (our dogs were in heaven too)! Adam & his team were amazing & went above and beyond to say the least! Can’t wait to visit again :).
My stay was wonderfully relaxing. The description matches the little cabin, everything from getting there to check out was very smooth. Adam is a welcoming host and I definitely hope to be back soon.

It's a nice rustic cabin in a great location and I did enjoy my stay here but I was very disappointed with how dirty everything was. We had to spend about an hour wiping the dirt and ash off all the tables, chairs, and counters, washing dishes that had mouse droppings in them, sweeping the floors, etc. The guest shower was also quite dingy. The water dispenser inside the cabin must not have been washed in years and was full of scum and mold which was coming out in the water. We had to take the jug out and scrub down the inside. At least it's clean now, so... enjoy!
The decor of the cabin seems like an afterthought and the lighting is harsh with bare light bulbs all around. The bed was also not very comfortable. So much about this place is great, I just ended up feeling that the nightly price or cleaning fee should be significantly lower since the cabin is a lot cleaner now than when we arrived and there's a lot of room for improvement in general.
I knew I was going to a cabin in the mountains. What I didn’t know was the amount of energy that was going to be in this gorgeous space. From the grounds themselves, to the inside of our cabin, walking along the various trails, meeting other beautiful people, all so very uplifting. Collectively every breath there was healing and fulfilling.
I’ve stayed in several cabins and have attended endless retreats. But this particular one settled right into my soul. I’m already looking at when I can return.
So much gratitude to all who’ve made it possible.

The land is sacred here being indigenous to the Maidu who lived here and left many reminders.

The perfect getaway! Clean, peaceful, just beautiful
The cabin was perfect for those looking for a getaway. We stayed at the Trinity cabin and it exceeded our expectation. Waking up to everything just so alive while trying to get away from our busy 9-5 lifestyle was just what we needed. We will definitely be coming back real soon.

Thank you Joshua, you were great guest and are welcome back to the Trinity cabin or any of the other 4 cabins as well
Loved our two night stay. Lots to explore within easy driving distance of the property. Would love to comeback during fall.
LOTS of mosquitoes in the morning and evening , but bug spray or citronella could have helped.
The cabin was super cute and it was very clean. There were a lot of mosquitos in the surrounding area so we didn’t grill outside much. Very nice weekend getaway.

thank you Angela, i am glad you enjoyed your visit and now we are suggesting that visitors for an least another month they bring bug spray, Around mid July the mosquitos more or less disappear.
I fell in love with this land. Loved the deep rest and peace of the place. It was beautiful, clean, well-cared for. The cabin was so cozy and enjoyable, very simple, but just the right woodsy feel...very natural and conducive to rest and rejuvenation. The bed was very comfortable - it was hard to get up out of it.
The host was great and very accommodating. I would definitely stay here again.

You are so welcome for your visit and your presence. All this enjoyment u feel for the land i am sure is reciprocated and twice blessed.
do come again as we would love to have you.
This place is fabulous if you're looking for peace and quiet, solitude and nature. There were few people around, but all were friendly and courteous. The Trinity cabin is definitely as rustic as they describe, but everything was neat and clean and functional. I'd definitely visit again.

We are glad you enjoyed our Trinity cabin- its the only one i built myself and probably the only one i will ever build myself- do come again
We loved the wilderness and vibe of the cabin. Great place to unplug and unwind. WiFi is available at main house if needed. This place is off the beaten path on a dirt road in the middle of the woods. Not a mechanical noise to be heard. Just the peaceful sounds of nature, birds, and wind through the leaves. Great wildflowers everywhere. Truly a gem. Take all your food supplies with you not convenient to run out for that forgotten item. However well worth it!! Highly recommend you take a flashlight, boardgames or good book. Great hiking trails . Bathroom is a short walk from cabin however nothing unusual if you ever gone camping. Very comfortable bed. Loved the wooden beams and cabin construction. I would highly recommend this place. Very dog friendly!!! Minimum interaction with host, Just enough to check in. We loved the place . Other than having to wash my car when we returned, no downsides. Just what we were looking for. Thank you Adam and your Staff.

We really appreciated hosting you and look forward to it again in the future. Connecting with nature and unplugging is what this space invites in. Thanks for the review & wishing you the best Karla!
We enjoyed our stay. Very peaceful. The bathroom and outhouse were further away than I thought they were from the listing. The Bathroom and shower room were not heated and the "hot" shower was lukewarm at best. It was a little chilly so the woodstove was lovely.

Why they chose this property
This land of 200 acres is inviting, private, and resides on a large developing Retreat space. We have an extensive trail system here which is partially in place with marked trails. A trail map is in development. Surrounded by thousands of areas of the Tahoe National Forest. A mere 5 miles from Malakoff Diggins State Historic Park with miles of further hiking. We now have located in front of the 3 cabins a shared group picnic area with a large charcoal BBQ, a massive 16 foot slab table, a fire pit and misc. chairs for family gathering and group workshops.
What makes this property unique
Many Indian arrow heads found here as it was once home to them
