Holland House, built in 1877 filled w/ character and charm located on the square
A building filled with character and charm built in 1877, one of only a few that survived the hurricane of the 1900's. The unique twist of the building is what we fondly refer to as "character". Located on the square, a private brick paved courtyard with large oak trees to unwind or simply enjoy the quiet that our small town has to offer. Shops are within walking distance or just minutes drive from eating establishments. The 2 bedrooms share a Hollywood bath (each bedroom has its own vanity and toilet but share a walk-in shower). The first bedroom has a queen and a twin. The second, has 2 full size beds. In addition, there's a hall half bath. The kitchen is fully equipped with the basics for meal preparation along with coffee and tea. Washer and dryer available for guest use. Minimal parking in the rear or free street parking in the front. No parking or blocking of the side or back alley. Free WiFi, Netflix and TV with 50+ local channels, DVD player. No smoking inside. Located on the Square, a private brick paved courtyard has large oak trees to unwind or simply enjoy the quiet that our small town has to offer. Shops and dining are within walking distance. Rock the Country is just 1.4 miles and a short drive.

The Holland House was amazing and our host, Donna was amazing! It’s very clean and decorated so vintage, we loved it. It’s one of the best VRBO’s we have stayed at!
Lovely place to stay. Beautiful, comfortable, and walking distance to shops, restaurants, museums, and a market-day events park. We enjoyed our stay very much. Thank you for sharing this historic home!
Such a great place to stay, eat, shop, visit museums. The location is perfect for all these things. The home itself is so charming and comfortable, nicely decorated and has everything you could need. Our host, Donna was very accommodating to our wishes and needs. I will definitely book this home again when in the area.
The host was most welcoming and the house was very clean. We loved being next door to the Farm-to-Table restaurant. We had what we needed, along with extra blankets and local menus. The patio is super cute, too.
Location right on town square..restaurants, shops etc ..house meticulous with all amenities..large and comfy. Private courtyard…an enjoyable, pleasant stay.
We love this home and the cute town square! We have stayed here 3 times and it is always super clean and comfortable. Great location for Roundtop shopping.
House was so cute, unique, clean, and decorated perfectly. Convenient location to restaurants and shops. There were quite a few amenties that was a nice touch. Donna has a great response time and answered any questions we had. Would definitely stay again!
Th Holland House was an amazing stay hands down. The cute house was everything I needed during my stay in Bellville, and included any needed items I could have asked for.

About the host
Hosted by Donna Lankford
I was born and raised in Bellville and proud to call it home. Brad and I live off site and are proud parents of our daughter who is a recent Aggie graduate.
Why they chose this property
The building was originally home to a newspaper that had been moved from where the library currently stands. Through the years it has been a bar, antique store and many restaurants. Built in 1877, it has lots of history. Brad and I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary in the early 90's when it was a quaint, romantic restaurant called Holland House. When I purchased it, the floor and walls had many license plates covering holes. Some of the holes in the floor, we were told were bullet holes from the days when it was a bar. The 1936 plate which is hanging by the front door was taken from the floor and restored. The sign above the dining table was made with the flooring from the back rooms of the building in which the lumber is a mixture of species, textures and patterns.
