This an amazing property 1 mile from the Broadmoor. It had 4 large bedrooms with ensuites attached which was very nice and what we needed for a business colleagues to stay together. It has an amazing courtyard with an indoor pool, tennis court, and putting greens.
What a wonderful home and location. The house had so much to do, inside and out. We spent time enjoying the putting green, basketball court, indoor pool, theater room, game room, etc.. The close proximity to the Broadmoor allowed us to just use golf carts to go back & forth to the resort.

Thank you for staying with us, William! We are so glad you enjoyed your stay. Thanks for being such fabulous guests. Enjoy the rest of your summer. :)
We loved our stay here. It was so very beatifiul.
The owner Shawnee went above and beyond to accomodate us. Changing light bulbs last minute and with an early spring wedding she went and bought extra flowers to have at the property because thw gardens were not full bloom yet.
My family with kiddos from 5 to 19 loved tbe pool and the fame room. By far one of the most beautifully landscaped homes ive seen. We are already talking about planning a family reunion here.

These hosts are not ready to rent their home!
Overall, I would give this home a 2 ½ star rating. The house is a little bit dated, but still defiantly a 4 ½ - 5 star. Unfortunately, the Owner/Hosts were at best a 1 star. • The owner knew we were bringing our pet, yet when we arrived, there were flags in the yard telling us pesticides had been used and to stay off the grass!
• The temperature in the bedroom, kitchen, tv room, and game room was between 78 & 80 degrees, which was unbearable! Their only fix was to offer to bring 2 swamp coolers the next day, which did not help. They now say they are calling a repairman, a week later.
• There were no face towels nor wash cloths at all. Their excuse was they did not use them. • The Ice maker did not work.
• The 2 barbeque grills were nasty. They looked like they had not been cleaned in at least 6 months. The grease bucket was also completely full. We would not use them.
• While we were in our bath robes having morning coffee, a group of contractors walked across the back porch and into the house. They continued coming and going all day long.
• Only 1 light out of 5 or 6 worked over the stove, making it very difficult to see to prepare our meals. • The kitchen faucet was so loose the whole fixture turned when you tried to turn on the faucet.
• The exit security gate was stuck open, making was feel very insecure.
• There were no instructions on how to use anything. These owners are not ready to operate their home as a vacation rental. They should be suspended by Vrbo

What a shame. This man really can not afford to stay in the homes he wants to rent. He asked for a refund and negotiated intensely before he arrived. I gave him a discount and reduced the pet fee because I am an accommodating person. He became demanding before he even arrived, demanding an early check in and having items delivered to the home before his arrival. He over exaggerated the few things he found and had the nerve to ask for an additional $1500 discount in the end.
He and his wife admittedly reprogramed all my working thermostats on day one and messed them all up. I immediately sent someone over with portable coolers but once they were reprogrammed, they worked perfectly.
The signs in the yard of pest control were all dated and all pest control was done weeks before he arrived and the signs clearly stated to keep pets off lawn for 24 hours. I use an organic product and my lawn is one of the safest lawns around.
Yes, I didn't have any wash rags, because we have beautiful towels from Istanbul with oversized towels, a more standard sized towel, and hand towels. The three piece European set is a bit different than a standard American set, but I did tell him where some standard wash cloths were that he could use, but those were just not on display in the master.
The property next door was being drywalled and yes there were construction workers next door.
There is a comprehensive book that has all details in it both printed in the kitchen and available online. He also admitted that he didn't know how to access his emails with the instructions.
Yes, there were some lights out above the kitchen stove and the second faucet in the prep sink was a bit lose. It is an easy fix and could have been fixed at any time had he mentioned it as our property manager could have come back, but he asked that she not. The ice maker works. The grill is cleaned every week. No clue what you are talking about. He is a liar and was looking for ways to get a discount.
He stayed in my luxury home the entire time, not even mentioning most of these things to me until the last day and then in the end demanded a $1500 refund in addition the discounts or he would leave a bad review. He was just an angry man with a strategy to get a discount. If you can't afford it, don't book it. Don't bully people with your nasty exaggerated lies.

Lackluster
The property itself is beautiful and you can tell the owners put a lot of work into it. However, we would never stay with this property or owner in the future which is too bad since we come out to the area several times a year.
We paid a premium to stay at the property because there is a large event in the area and even hosted events on site, however the owners had someone stopping by the house daily with no warning and timing to water the plants and not provided this information in advance so we could plan what works for if we had a potential client over for a lunch. In addition, there were two additional contractors that came out, one with about 18 hours warning and one we walked into the kitchen and was working two hours before we checked out and had no benefit to us as visitors during our paid time at their property.
The freezer in the kitchen was broken and while they provided a backup freezer it was smelly and in a room that was supposed to be off limits.
The hot tub did not heat up at all even after they assured us we just press one button and it would heat up after 20 minutes .
Privacy is not a concern for these owners, there are cameras all over the property including some that peer into bedrooms.
Remotes for the televisions were missing for all but one television.
Basic toiletries were not provided and we had to purchase additional toilet paper.
Dog poop was found in a room upon the first tour which the owner removed with her bare hands (and proceeded to wash) by throwing in the trash and not taking the trash out. To find that we aren't the first to find dog poop upon checkin too!
Some of these items we would have been willing to overlook if there was communication with us and our expensive stay was treated as a priority for the owners, however we felt more as an inconvenience to them and no discount was offered for promised broken amenities and walking into the kitchen to find a strange man and woman at breakfast time was very inappropriate and unacceptable.
If you are prepared to share your stay with the owners, their workers and understand you will find broken amenities at high prices this is the property for you. I don't doubt with some adjustments that this could be an amazing property to rent out, however for us it was very lackluster.
We will be taking our business elsewhere in the future.

Melissa,
I really wish you had read our full description of the property before you booked it. Our description clearly states that our estate requires daily onsite management. A home like ours does not maintin itself and it takes a lot of time, expense, and attention.
I know everyone is tired of this excuse, but due to COVID, it took much longer than anticipated to get the part to repair the freezer and a new freezer was a 18 month back order so we did the best we could to give you access to an old freezer that does work in a restricted part of the property.
The hot tub works perfectly. The problem is that is has too many options. Someone tampored with the controls during your stay and created a custom program that restricted the heat. Had you said anything to us during your stay, we would have fixed it immediatly.
All of the remotes were and still are in all of the rooms near the TVs. Not sure what you are referring to. Again, had you asked, we would have definatley shown you wehre they are.
We don't provide toiletries with the exception of toilet paper that is in all the bathrooms. Most people prefer their own toiletries and we are not a hotel.
We do have a new puppy and have had some trouble with this and I am truly sorry for the dog poop. Our puppy has just graduated from a trainig program and we are optimistic that she will not be sneaking into the theatre room anymore! LOL.
Melissa, we are so sorry that you didn't enjoy the home. Communication goes a long way and only wish you had communicated with us during any of the times that me or my staff were on property maintaining the property.
I have no idea of what strange man or woman were there during breakfast time and I agree that would be inapproprate. I can only guess you are meaning my housekeeper who was there watering plants and throwing out trasth? Again, really woudl have appreciated communication.
We hope you enjoy your next adventure and your next property. There are several in Colorado Springs. Best of luck to you and your new business.
Welcoming hostess was very nice. Beautiful grounds. Multiple court yards, great neighborhood and very nice home. Unfortunately there were several items that we did not expect for a booking at this price point. Found dog stool in the theater room, left over cherry tomatoes as we stepped out into outside BBQ/kitchen, no wood available for any of the fireplaces, had to search for hand soap for bathrooms, spa/jacuzzi not in working condition, TVs with missing remotes, no toiletries available, no laundry detergent, and doors to a sitting area right side of a bedroom unable to securely lock. The double doors would open wide with the wind and had to rest a heavy chair against them. Lastly, ping pong table was broken, WII remotes were missing and we also had to buy our own tennis balls since they had none left. Overall, the house is very nice, the grounds are exquisite, unfortunately, we would not spend this amount of money again on a property so poorly managed.
An excellent property with an equally excellent host. The home was very comfortable, especially the kitchen and veranda. The neighborhood lent itself to lovely walks in the morning and evenings. The entire family loved the house and the area. If given the chance, we would gladly return.
A dream. A beautiful, restful, and rejuvenating dream. That is what this property and home felt like. For such an expansive home, it felt incredibly cozy and warm. The details in design and decor provide a living space for families and friends to enjoy each other in lavish comfort. For those who love being active; the indoor pool, outdoor tennis/basketball court, trampolines, and putting green provide wonderful opportunities for all to move! For quieter moments of deep conversation, chess playing, or book reading; there are wonderful nooks and fireplaces to curl up in and enjoy each other or solitude. We are so grateful for every moment spent together in this dream world. Thank you for sharing your space with our family.
Amazing property. Beautiful decorating style and lovely grounds! So much to do we didn’t want to leave house! Comfortable bedS and enough hot water are big things for us in a property and this house had both!!! The owner was sweet and helpful and considerate, very professional. Would definitely recommend the property and hope to come back soon!
The property has everything! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay during our visit with family. We chose to spend most of our time on the property because it had so much to offer and our kids especially enjoyed the pool and trampolines. I think it's important to provide my experience with the property owner and manager since I read another person's review who outlined their experience with privacy.... This home and property are very large and it requires attention daily whether it be landscape upkeep or garbage collection, etc. You will see people on the property doing necessary upkeep daily. Not one time did the owner of the property or the property manager come into the home unannounced or uninvited. In fact, there was a huge hail storm during our visit that caused a lot of damage to the property. The owner asked permission to come and see the damage which we found to be extremely thoughtful given the situation. In addition, she and the property manager always gave us a heads up when any service person, i.e. landscaping crew where expected to be on the property. Shawnee (Owner) and Teri (Manager) were welcoming and very pleasant! We will definitely stay here again!

Great location
The home was in a great location near the mountains of Colorado Springs. The owner was very nice and welcoming. The outdoor property is particularly nice and we were able to enjoy the fire pit, tennis, pickle ball and the indoor pool. With that said, a few things caught us by surprise. First, it appeared the owner was living in the home with us which we did not anticipate. We have stayed in several VRBO’s and this was a first. Second, there were a number of scheduled workers in the house throughout our stay (internet provider, plumber, tv installer, contractor working on sport court, etc.). Early every morning, at least one person (the owner or caretaker) came into the kitchen while we were still in our pajamas trying to start our day making it very awkward for us. We have always had VRBO homes to ourselves and rented this particularly to stay away from other people during the pandemic. Although the house was nice, we did not experience the privacy that we expect and are accustomed to while renting homes on VRBO.
I went with my friends for my 21st Birthday and 4th of July and it was the absolute perfect stay. The pictures don't do the house justice, the house is beautiful and there are plenty of places to hang out outside which I love. The indoor pool was perfect because it rained most of our stay. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend others to stay here as well!

Why they chose this property
The Broadmoor is the most luxurious neighborhood in all of Colorado Springs. We enjoy luxurious patio furniture and fountains. The home has an organic garden with organic herbs for your use, full house water filtration, kitchen re-mineral water system and is the ideal place to stay for a family interested in relaxation and wellness. The home is gorgeous, luxurious, comfortable, and healthy!
What makes this property unique
There is not another property like this in Colorado Springs. This resort is perfect for elegant fine dining, gourmet kitchen, stunning courtyard for BBQ or pizza parties in the outdoor pizza oven or just water fun in the pool. Kids of all ages can run and play in the yard which is big enough to play football, soccer, frisbee, etc. We have a trampoline, gazebo, swings, and are surrounded on 3 sides by a private park. The resort is fully fenced and perfect for families. The landscaping is exquisite. We have had executive retreats, corporate events, photoshoots, weddings, family reunions, kids sports parties, birthday parties, and much more. We do charge extra if more than 10 people will be on the property.
