Eloise House was previously owned for 30+ years by Hilary Knight, the famed illustrator of the Eloise at the Plaza books. This charming house will leave a lasting impression while you make cherished memories Out East where many consider to be one of the most beautiful places in the world. The house is a true sanctuary. Designed by architect Edward W Slater in the late 1960's with antique pine and stone floors, pretty bathrooms and the three bedrooms are cozy and lovely with good linens, nice pillows and soft blankets. Sunshine fills the space with beautiful Long Island light. The house is well stocked with all the things you may need...lots of towels for bath and pool and beach, a fully appointed kitchen and a Traeger BBQ for your grilling delight. Stunning gardens with hydrangea, flowers and specimen trees.
Eloise House is more than just a rental, it is a home. You will feel like you have stepped into a special place made beautiful just for you. The salt water lagoon pool is a magical paradise. Heated seasonally, (mid to late May opening - Sept)I love my location as it is so easy to get every where. You are five minutes from the best beaches (Main, Egypt, Wainscott, Georgica) and easy access to Sag Harbor (4 miles) If you are looking for a winter stay the wood stove (firewood included) is ready to keep you warm and cozy in the living room and the dining room is ready to host memorable meals.

We love how much cleaner the house is when shoes are left at the entrance:)

Magical place

We had the loveliest stay at the Eloise house. It’s so beautifully decorated, the property and pool area are so peaceful, and Jessica was so wonderful and helpful. We would definitely stay here again!!

Best rental ever!

This home was perfect for our family of 5 adults. The decor is gorgeous! The beds and bedding were all so comfortable. The owner has thought of every comfort! We loved the neighborhood which is a short drive into town. This home was the best rental I have ever stayed in.

Lovely and cozy getaway

Jessica's property is simply lovely. It immediately feels like a home you're being welcomed into. The house offers tons of places to lounge and relax. The yard is lush and beautiful with tons of places to watch the local wildlife. We slept well in the master bedroom with plenty of space to live in for the week. The pool was delightful! Jessica was an extremely attentive host who went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable. Would absolutely stay here again!

Heaven!

The only negative about this property and owner is that I had to leave! Jessica is divine - wonderful communicator, excellent accommodations, and graciously helpful with recommendations and anything else we needed. The house is as gorgeous and welcoming as it looks - like wrapping yourself in a warm guilt when it's cold. We will be back and would definitely encourage anyone even considering this option to book now!

Perfect Spot to Relax and Explore The Hamptons

Our family absolutely loved our time at Eloise house. The house is beautifully decorated and so comfortable. The kitchen has everything you need to make amazing meals and the outdoor garden and pool has a great combo of sun and shade throughout the day. The living room and sun room are so comfortable and the perfect place to spend time together or grab some time to yourself to read a book. The house is situated in the perfect place to explore - literally it felt like we were a 10-15 drive from anywhere! The beach, dinner in Sag Harbor, lobster in Montauk, shopping in East Hampton or a spin class in Bridgehampton! Jessica was always super responsive, and a gracious and helpful host. Absolutely loved our stay and we hope to return again soon.

Magical setting

We were welcomed to this gorgeous home by a vase filled with brightly colored flowers. The house is decorated with such care and attention to comfort. The charming blue kitchen embraced my family as we made meals and comfortable living room enabled us to read and relax together on lovely white couches. The bathrooms are clean and adorable with plenty of towels and beautiful tiles. Bedrooms have comfortable bedding and a restful vibe. The host Jessica is very responsive and kind. We will be back! Our Shangri-La

We just LOVED The Eloise House!! The property was beautiful and the house itself was gorgeous and charming. Every detail was enjoyed. We cannot wait to return!! We have stayed in many VRBO homes but this trip was special. We enjoyed every aspect of the property from cooking in the gourmet kitchen to gazing at the stars from the upper deck. We enjoyed the comfy beds with excellent bedding, landscaping, watching TV in the family room and floating in the serene heated lagoon pool. We were a party of 2 but could only imagine 2-3 couples or our children enjoying this thoughtful Shangri-La. Our host was just fantastic. From helping us to plan our days to great meals out, she was attentive to all the finest East Hampton has to offer. Our host was also attentive to any question we had regarding this beautiful home. This home is a hidden gem!! Thank you again Jessica!!

A true gem in East Hampton

The Eloise House was everything we expected and more. Most Hamptons rentals are cold, sterile and transient but this house felt like Home (with a capital H). Every design choice is felt and appreciated. I kept walking around and noticing different moments and details, the types of tiles, mixed fabrics and patterns, the use of wood, furniture and lighting fixtures and gorgeous varied chandeliers. You can see the love put into the home and It’s a design nerds haven! Everything was magical, clean and so comfy. The living room couches were the most comfortable seating that I’ve ever encountered. The garden and the pool and the kitchen are out of a Nancy Meyers film. Even the book selection was impressive, a mix of novels, travel, art and nature books. And of course the fabulous location near town and down the street from some amazing farmers markets that we frequented every other day. We fell in love and can’t wait to come back. Thank you for sharing your home with us !!!

Everything was amazing

We had an amazing nice stay in a very nice decorated house. You could feel the love that the owner has put in the house, It's a very warm and cosy atmosphere. So if you want to stay at a beautiful place with everything around you this is the place to go. We're looking to go back very soon.

Perfect Escape!

What an incredible stay. Jessica was an A+ host from start to finish. The house was incredibly charming, the kitchen was huge and well stocked, and the location was perfect. Very close to Sag Harbor and the town of East Hampton. We'll definitely be back!

Pure Happiness

I cannot say enough about this property. We were all so happy! The location is absolutely amazing. Close to town and to the beach! The house is so lovely, very warm and inviting. So SO comfortable! On the practical side, it was well-stocked and had everything that we needed. The kitchen was very well-equipped, beds were super-cozy....... We met Jessica when we arrived and she was extremely helpful. We took her advice on everything from where to buy seafood to hikes. We had the best family holiday. It could not have been more PERFECT. Fantastic Thanksgiving In the Hamptons

From the moment we opened the door to Eloise House we knew we were in for a special treat this Thanksgiving in the Hamptons. Jessica has thoughtfully renovated and decorated the house to perfection, such that you instantly feel relaxed and on holiday. The kitchen is a dream to cook in. A well place bay window seat means friends can chat and share a wine while the cook in the family prepares the food. The dining room is a warm and intimate space to come together over a special meal. The lounge room is heaven with two of the most comfortable couches I have ever had the treat to sit on. (I had to ask Rebecca where I could buy them!) It's truly a special place to relax and watch the fire. Upstairs the bedrooms were lovely. The master suite is huge and the bed was one of the largest I have slept in and also very comfortable! As it was winter during our stay we weren't able to enjoy the pool and garden, but we did have a little explore and it would be magic on a hot summer day. And only a few minutes drive to the beach and Hampton towns the house is perfectly positioned to make the most of the area, no matter the season. Jessica was a dream to communicate with and gave us lots of recommendations for walks and where to do shopping etc. I highly recommend Eloise house if you are looking for a relaxing Hamptons getaway. I hope I can make my return soon, next time during summer for a swim. Thank you, Jessica! We are so thankful to have found your place for our Thanksgiving this year!

The property was a serene oasis! The owner did stay on the property in the guest house which was not mentioned upon booking but she did not bother us & was very helpful!

The Greatest Getaway Ever!

We just stayed at Eloise House. I am not certain which is better, the house itself or the homeowner. It only makes sense that this is such a special magical place because the effort to make the experience nothing less then perfect is because of the care and time that is put into each and every detail there. We can not say enough wonderful things or enough thank yous for a perfect holiday. If I could give Eloise house 10 stars, I would do so! Can't wait for our next outing to "our home" away from home. The Eloise House is a gem!

The Eloise House was a great choice for a long weekend with my family in the Hamptons. The location was good and the house was very comfortable. Jessica makes it easy to check in and the house has absolutely everything you could possible need. We went in the off season so didn’t get the opportunity to take advantage of the pool or outdoor amenities, but you could tell it’s a special place during the summer. There are some wonderful restaurants near by and lots of shopping! We had a great time and would definitely return to the Eloise House!

Relaxing stay at a charming home

Our family of 4 stayed at Eloise House for 8 nights, and truly enjoyed every single day of it. The home is well appointed and full of charming, original details and also close to main East Hampton, Sag Harbor and all the beaches and other attractions. Jessica made the check-in/out process a breeze, and provided us with all the relevant information, and was easily accessible for any questions we had. Favorite spots HAVE to be the gazebo and the sunroom which overlooks the pond - perfectly lovely!

It's whimsical and magical. Everyone says how amazing the house feels. A great location and easy to avoid some of the summer traffic. Minutes to the best beaches and to East Hampton, Sag Harbor and Wainscott. The house does not feel like a rental it feels like a home.
