About this property

Prime Historic Property in the Heart of Provincetown

The Adam Macool House is a five bedroom 1800's Cape house, located in the heart of Provincetown, recently restored with historic details, yet providing modern comforts and amenities. The property is a quiet garden oasis, but only one block from the hubbub and excitement of Commercial Street. The first floor covered porch and the second floor deck run the entire length of the house. Each has a lounge area and a separate dining area. The third floor is the master bedroom suite with an open floor plan, has an air jet tub, and views to the north, south, east, and west. Perfect Summer Getaway
The McCool house was the perfect place for 9 friends to spend a week in P Town. The house has so many highlights including being right in the center of town. Just a short walk in any direction for food, drinks or shopping. The outdoor dining allowed us to congregate in the mornings for coffee and for meals when we didn’t eat out. We even had room to store all our bikes in the yard which we used regularly. We had an excellent week!

Beautiful property, great location
This property is so much nicer than a rental needs to be. A wonderful old home, full of charm, but all the modern amenities have been provided. The way a bathroom with shower and separate tub were fitted under the roof of the third story bedroom is clever, and I loved it, but a taller person (6 ft +) might be a little uncomfortable and the stairs are not for anyone with physical limitations. All the other areas had no issues. Two living areas, a covered porch with a large deck on top with ample furniture for seating were enjoyed. The location could hardly be closer to the bustle of Commercial Street, perfect for us, but at times, some noise. So if you are going to let that bother you, it should be considered. And the host, Bernard, couldn’t be nicer. If he’s in town, he’s probably staying in a separate property on site so he’s there for any issues if needed. But he’s not intrusive at all, really a plus to chat with him about the property and the town. He’s also very responsive via text or messaging thru the app.

Amazing Stay!
The house was well located, charming and impeccable. We had everything necessary to make our stay a success. Bernard was nice enough to show us around personally and was always quick to respond to any questions. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend.

Beautiful and Accommodating
The house is beautiful and very charming. It’s very well kept and a lot of historical pieces are within the decor. The lighting is a bit lacking on the 3rd floor and in the kitchen but nothing you can’t work with. Bring an iron - one is not provided. I will definitely stay there again.

We keep coming back!
This is our second year in this house so now we can really call it “ours.” We feel so lucky to have found a place that has enough space for us and is also in the perfect location off of Commercial. The host is responsive and the home is efficiently organized. Couldn’t ask for a better place!
