Cozy Coastal Cottage with Salty & Serene Sunsets

This adorable coastal-themed cottage sets within the quiet and friendly, NON-SMOKING COMMUNITY of Water's Edge Condo Association on Linekin Bay off of Ocean Point Road.
Kick back and enjoy the screened front porch or side deck with a view of the bay while enjoying your morning brew, planning your day's adventure, reading, or just absorbing the tranquility.
Water access is available for boating, kayaking or swimming from the floating dock, or stairs that lead to the pebbly beach where one can explore at low tide. There is also a large lawn by the shore for everyone's enjoyment.
At the intersection of Hwy 27 and Ocean Point Road (Hwy 96) is Hannaford's Supermarket. You'll feel yourself start to unwind as you near Water's Edge. Suggestions to note while driving: the view! Lobstermen's Wharf (which recently has been razed, but they have a lobster-boat bar in its location), The General Store (great coffee/breakfast & lunch sandwiches/gifts), The Carriage House; all just minutes from your home away from home!
Beautiful Boothbay Harbor is just a 10-minute drive away, where there's many outstanding restaurants/eateries/shops for all budgets, as well as numerous activities to choose from: sunset cruises on a windjammer of old, whale-watching/puffin/fishing charters, night life. The Maine Botanical Garden is also beautiful!
Hiking is another fantastic option, with many land-trust trails in the local area. Within walking distance is Linekin Bay Preserve with forested trails and views of the coastline and Damariscotta River. Walk the King Phillip's Trail, or take a 2-minute drive to Ocean Point at the end of the peninsula and enjoy nature's magnificence while walking the rocky coastline.

Cozy Cottage on the Water

Very well appointed, comfortable cottage-like condo in a quiet location away from the bustle of summer crowds in Boothbay Harbor but conveniently located to explore the wonders of Mid Coast Maine. Sandra was very responsive to a couple of issues we had and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful place and location!

This duplex cottage is the perfect location and had everything needed for a 6 night stay. The dock view was spectacular and perfecdt for enjoying the fresh Maine sea air. My 16 year old daughter, husband and I loved the convenience of being no more than an hour from anywhere we planned to explore! This cottage is literally 10 minutes from Boothbay Harbor, 1hr to Freeport 1hr 15 to Portland, 25 minutes to WIscasset, and less than an hour to Pemaquid Beach. It is 5 minutes from the cutest little general store that had amazing muffins that were perfect for breakfast! It is a super quiet community that sits on Linekin Bay away from the hustle and bustle of the of Boothbay Harbor. The cottage itself was small but all we needed for the week. The king bed is in the loft and the stairs may be too steep for some to navigate but my daughter and I took that bed and it was not an issue for us. My husband chose to stick to the downstairs bedroom with a queen bed b/c of the steepness / narrowness of them but loved his bed none the less! The reclining sofa was nice to relax in at night and the little heater worked great on one night it was in the 60's. The air unit in the loft and the cross breeze kept the place cooled for evenings. We were never at the cottage during the day really . The only negative amongst a world of plusses was the shower size. It is tiny. However, WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE and the owner was wonderful to communicate with on any question we had. We definitely will stay here again! If you visit Boothbay, this is our "worth it" places: It is worth a short trip and to the famous Reds Eats in Wiscasset for the BEST lobster roles ever. Expect to wait in a line for a bit. Take a drive to the end of Ocean Point Road for amazing views on a scenic drive around the point. Book a trip with the Cabbage Island Clambake- you won't regret it! Plan a day trip to Pemaquid Beach to see the glittery sand and picturesque views from the beach- one of the cleanest beach and facilities I have ever seen. Rent kayaks on Boothbay Harbor for an hour or two with Tidal Transit Kayak Co...worth every penny!! Visit Boothbay Craft Brewery for fantastic beer and pizzas. We had amazing food at Tuscan Bistro in Freeport. Both McSeagulls and Boathouse Bistro on Boothbay Harbor are exceptional for the food and scenery. Wannawaf and Downeast Ice Cream Factory get our vote for fun little dessert stops(also on BH). I will shut up now:)

Amazing location in Boothbay

Our host was so professional, friendly, and she did an excellent job communicating with me and meeting her was delightful. I would stay there again. The location is quiet, friendly and just a stones throw walk to the water where we enjoyed chair and dock time. Oh the cool breezes were fantastic. Definitely a 10 in my opinion Thanks SM. Diane

Maine trip 2024

This was our 2nd stay in this quaint and cozy cottage. My wife loves the nautical themed decor of the cottage. As last visit the owner Sandy took care of all our needs and questions. We recommend doing the Damariscotta river boat tour and the Botanical gardens.

Maine relaxation anniversary week

We arrived after 9PM and found check-in to be very easy. Our week couldn’t have been more perfect because the weather was amazing with sunshine and eighties the entire time! The view of the ocean was stunning and we spent a great deal of time just sitting and staring out at the water. We were able to relax and simply soak in the quiet, the clean ocean air, the sounds of the birds! Our cottage was everything we could have hoped for and we loved the way it was decorated with fun and colorful beach/ ocean items. We met the neighbors next to us and they were friendly and kind! If only we could have stayed longer! We’d love to return again and stay in this adorable little cottage a little longer next year- a Maine home away from home!

Boothbay

The property was beautiful and impeccably maintained. The cottage was cozy and tastefully decorated in a nautical theme. Pictures make it appear larger than it is, but as a frequent traveler I have learned that this is typical of a on line listing. Although small, it certainly had everything we needed and was perfect for the two of us. The weather did not co-operate for our stay so unfortunately didn't get to use the outside spaces, but would have if we could have as they were so inviting. Kitchen had everything we needed and we did cook quite a bit. The steps to the loft are steep as indicated, but worth the climb as the loft was so comfortable. It was a perfect place for our Maine getaway. The location couldn't have been better for exploring the Boothbay region! Excellent trip!

Quaint Stay in Boothbay

This motel has been converted into condos with individual units. This one was decorated so nicely with many Maine touches. The shower stall is very small but workable. Most windows do not open, so it can get warm during the day. Lovely screened in porch and another outdoor seating area.

Comfortable cottage

Cottage was cute, very clean and quiet. Location was nice with water view, though dock was closed and no real beach. A little out of the way from most attractions, but close to Ocean Point. Cottage was fine fot two but would be crowded for more. We would recommend it for couples who are looking for peace and quiet.

Lovely Stay in East Boothbay Harbor

This property was amazing! It had everything we needed, and plenty of space for four people. The cottage was very comfy, and perfect for a relaxing getaway. There was plenty of seating to enjoy watching the sunset each morning down by the harbor. Everyone in the area was super kind - we met a lovely couple who owns a different cottage, and they shared with us some recommendations for the area. The owner, Sandy, was super responsive, and equally as kind. Highly recommended staying here!

Perfect Place with Amazing Hosts!

This little cottage is an absolute perfect hidden gem. I have visited Maine before, but never Boothbay and I’ll definitely be back and spend more time in the area! My mom and I were on a mother/daughter vaca and we loved this place! It was my moms first visit to Maine! The cottage was everything you could expect for Maine from the decor to the views! It offered everything we needed, the beds were comfy, it was very clean, and I can not tell you enough of how wonderful our hosts were. Sandy and Ty are truly amazing people and all their neighbors and friends made this place feel like home. We were sad to leave, but won’t come again without staying here! Thank you Sandy and Ty for helping us make some great memories!

Coastal cottage serenity

My sister and I loved our stay in this beautiful coastal cottage. We enjoyed relaxing on the screened porch and walking down to the bay for gorgeous sunsets. The cottage is comfortable with everything you need to settle in and enjoy Maine. The location is perfect for seeing all of the Booth Bay region.

Why they chose this property

My husband and I visited friends that were staying in Boothbay Harbor back in 2013, having never been to Maine previously. Our friends happened to be looking for another property. We all fell in love with this duplex! And that, as they say, was that! Never in our wildest dreams would we have predicted we'd own a cottage in Maine. Every year since, we can't wait to escape Florida's summer heat and plan our adventures in this beautiful state! Western views with magnificent sunsets, deep water access for anyone with a boat, a friendly, small, quiet community. Maine is a step back in time!

What makes this property unique

This duplex is an adorable standalone cottage. Close to restaurants and hiking, yet on the quieter side of Boothbay Harbor. Picturesque Ocean Point is just down the road. A hidden gem.
