Great place to stay as a family. Beach was close by, outdoor shower available, place to store your bikes, very friendly hosts. Downstairs bedroom musty, but upstairs accommodations were fine. Kitchen had needed utensils. A short bike ride you were at Bristol Beach and Falmouth Beach and restaurants.
Real Cape Cod experience! Incredible views and walking distance to marina area and shops. Great to have private beach accessed in front of Mara Vista. Enjoyed the sights, biking and dining around Falmouth and Woods Hole. We couldn't do it all in a relaxing week.
Hosts are nice people and available if needed. Kitchen well equipped. Lack of washing machine caused us to wash/ rinse in tub and line dry- no problem.
We loved the welcoming bouquet and all the things we might need that Sheila and Sean anticipated. It was a unique house and setting, there were geese in the pond across the road. The private beach was so convenient and accessible. We loved being able to just walk across the street any time of day and hang out there and not have to compete for a place to set up. We also really liked that some of the rooms didn't have too many stairs to get to them. Its hard in an area with older houses to find places to stay that are accessible for those who are less mobile. Sean and Sheila were present and available for questions/advice but not intrusive. The house is conveniently located as well, close to grocery store, Walmart and all manner of eating venues. We definitely want to visit again and absolutely would book this house.
This house was wonderful. Clean and cozy with perfect access and views to the beach and ocean. Sean and Sheila Regan are wonderful hosts. Hope to stay with them again.
Planned this family vacation to celebrate my husbands 70th birthday with daughter, son, their spouses and 4 grandkids. We needed a house to fit 10 people which included 2 young children and 2 teenagers. This comfortable home provided ample space for us to spread out, but also to spend quality time together around the dinner table or out in the yard. Oceanfront was exactly what we wanted; views and access to the water was amazing! From the youngest to the oldest, we loved the home and location; couldn’t have been better. We are already planning to come back. Sean and Sheila are kind and wonderful hosts. Thank you both for your kind hospitality!

A wonderful place for a beach week
Beautiful location, nice large house very near the (private) beach. The house was fine for us with 9 adults and 2 toddlers, probably at capacity. Comfortable beds, good cooking and BBQ facilities, good wiFi and TV. Plenty of clean towels for baths and beach (we paid the $250 towel fee). Sean and Sheila are warm and hospitable hosts who made our stay a great pleasure. One minor drawback was the lack of co-located shower for two of the bedrooms, but we adapted to this with little problem. We would rent this again!

Sean and Shiela excellent hosts, immaculate fully supplied rental. The location is excellent.
The layout of distinct suites totally worked for extended family.
Private Beach is directly across the street. The bay was perfect for kayaks (available), we took advantage snorkeling, fishing and cycling ( better road cycle than anticipated.
The large table for 12 made for memorable Family meals.

Great location - quirky layout
Overall a great stay. House has an unbeatable location and views. The pond and beach right across the street were great. The layout is a bit quirky and I wish we had asked more questions about that to help with planning. Two of the bedrooms have outside entrances which we knew but we didn't realize that they didn't have any interior access without going outside. This meant that we didn't feel safe putting kids to bed and then having adults rejoin the group in the living room - if we had realized the layout we could have brought a baby monitor to allow for this. Also ended up with 2 kids in a nicer room than adults because the vineyard room was only outside access so we didn't feel comfortable putting them there. The 2 upstairs bedrooms had amazing views and it seemed a bit like a waste to have kids in one of them. Bathrooms weren't that great but the outdoor shower made up for that - it was great and most of our group used that. The living room/kitchen are larger and nicer than they appear in the pictures. We were concerned that it might not be big enough for our group of 12 (8 adults and 4 kids) but it was an unfounded concern. Table seated us all no problem and plenty of seating - Also a nice small balcony off of the living room with great views. The yard also had plenty of outdoor seating and we ate dinner outside 2 nights. Plenty of parking for 3 cars. Short drive to town.

Incredible location.. lovely home
We had a wonderful vacation staying at this beach house. Plenty of space, we had our older children come down for the 4th of July unexpectedly and the place is so large with many beds and private areas that it just worked out perfectly. Sean and Sheila live on the property and our lovely people who are very friendly but also give you your space to enjoy your vacation. The location could not be more beautiful, you have the ocean in front of you with a beautiful view of Martha's Vineyard and behind you is a gorgeous saltwater Pond, great walking trails and great restaurants in the local area. Would definitely recommend this vacation home and would go again. Thank you Sean and Sheila !

Nice area, and the setup ended up working well for us.
Great location, comfortable beds, outdoor shower was cool, plenty of space, and close to everything in the cape. Only con was beach is a little rocky but it was great for the older kids to skip them on the water and younger ones to build rock castles. Kids had fun so we had fun!

Awesome beach vacation
Our large group ages 6-85 loved our beach vacation here! Sean and Shelia are so kind, friendly and easy to work with. The layout is a bit quirky, but it worked well for our group, with plenty of space for kids, tweens and adults. Beautiful private beach (bring water shoes, its rocky) entertained our kids for hours. We also enjoyed the large yard, gas and charcoal grills, outdoor shower, scenic walking path along the pond and dining table big enough for our large group. Great place overall!

Wonderful, simply wonderful
Such a nice, relaxing home, from the gathering room/kitchen to the individual bedrooms - 3 of which have their own separate entrances and bathroom/showers. We had 8 adults and 4 kids, one of which is 3. We arrived to a center piece of roses, a watermelon, local cookies, and crackers. Although I didn't use the shower in my room, the outdoor shower was the way to go - most of us were in line for it each day! All rooms have a wonderful view. My daughter loved the nook upstairs with the view of the ocean even though it was off the main meeting room. The private beach was near perfect - the owners have a bunch of chairs and surf chairs and allow you to bring over a couple wind break tents over too - just bring your cooler! And speaking of the owners, such wonderful people!! I was a bit concerned when I found out they were on site, but how off my thoughts were - so pleasant and personable, and knowledgable off their hometown. So many places to walk to to eat, get ice cream, even the Falmouth fish market is a 15 - 20 minute walk through a lovely town. Oh, and we saved parking by walking to the Island Queen ferry to go to Martha's Vineyard! We don't return to places for our family vacations, simply so we experience new places each year, but this may just be our first repeat!! Thank you for a wonderful week!

Best family vacation ever
Our 4 families totally 9 plus to babies had a wonderful time. The house was exactly what we wanted. The private beach across the street was so special. The upstairs room with the large dining table and kitchen was our gathering place. Each bedroom was perfect and the separate entrances allowed for groups of the family to come and go without disturbing others. The owner on site was always helpful with any of our needs and gave us good counsel on places to go. The town of Falmouth was a great base for activities. The Light Opera, the Falmouth Commodores, the Twin Lobster Boil, the British Beer Pub, and Main Street restaurants were all great. Our family, which lives in California, Missouri and Connecticut were able to spend some very meaningful family time together in this beautiful home, backyard and beach.

Terrific home for our family reunion . . .
A casual, cozy spot in a wonderful location. Our four adult children, spouses and grandchild all had plenty of room and privacy. Owners Sean and Sheila could not have been nicer, even providing us all with a tour of Wood's Hole by boat, pointing out fabulous we could have never seen from the road. Went swimming at least once every day and the outside shower was a great treat.

Paradise
I am from Montreal and had the chance to stay at the beautiful Sea Shell Inn twice. This was one of my family's favorite vacation spots.
With spacious accomodations and clean grounds overlooking a beautiful beach, this place becomes paradise thanks to the warmth in the Regan Family's hospitality. They treated us like family ;)
Often when I felt low in my life, I went back to the Sea Shell Inn in my mind and let the coziness of this place wash all over me. I have been many places in my life but none has been as magical as this one. My foundest childhood memories rest at the Inn...
A must see!

Sea Shell Inn
Our party consisted of 8 adults composed of 3 couples and 2 singles who had their own bedrooms. The location was outstanding and the accommodations were comfortable and clean. Our group regularly enjoyed use of the beach and outdoor sitting areas. The second floor TV, sitting, and dining area was spacious, nicely decorated, and had plenty of tableware. The second floor bathroom was also spacious but lacked a shower, presenting an inconvenience for the occupants. The front apartment had problems with the smoke and CO detectors keeping the occupants awake and with vertical blinds that didn't work. The northeast guest room, had good window ventilation and a comfortable queen bed. But it had little walk-around room, and it's chest of drawers operated with difficulty. The resident owners were quick to respond to problems as they were made aware of them and were most congenial hosts. Overall we had a good experience.

Hosted by Michael Regan, Sean & Sheila Regan
We are native Bostonians who operated this house as a bed and breakfast from 1983 to 2012 and now we rent on a weekly basis. We live in a first floor separate entrance owner's apt. We know and love Cape Cod and are willing to share our passion for it with you so you get the most our of your time here at the beach. Sean and Sheila Regan
Why they chose this property
Location, location, location. This property is ocean in the front, bay in the back with a private beach and a large lawn area. You can walk to the beach in about 30 seconds and you can be wading in the bay with the minnows, clams and hermit crabs in 10 seconds.
What makes this property unique
You can bring your family here and have a spot staked out on the beach, a BBQ going in the yard and kids catching crabs in the bay without ever getting in your car or ever needing a beach sticker. Enjoy the sea breeze, see the birds, boats and fishing. Having a private beach just 100' from your door is the only way to vacation.
