About this property

View with a room Cathedral Rock too!

View, hiking, cooking in room. You only have to go outside and breathe in the beauty. Our property is located in what is the last rural area in Sedona. When you stay with us, you will truly get the Sedona experience.
The guestroom has an ajoined patio to the kitchen area where there are plenty of birds and all kinds of wildlife. In the courtyard is a large fireplace and a pretty sweet little pizza oven.
Our view is the best in town, no kidding, we get hundreds of people that stop right out in front of our property to take pictures. The sunsets are incredible when the sun hits Cathedral Rock, sunrise can give great colors. it literally is the most beautiful place in the world, right out your front door. You just don’t get this anywhere else in Sedona.
The room is very quiet , with private entrance and virtually no contact with the other guests that are on property. We have 2 suites.
The apartment has a very nice fully equipped kitchen space to sit and play cards or board games and 2 comfy chairs to kick back and relax after a day of hiking the nearby trails.
The bedroom has a 42” flat screen TV and TiVo too, so you can record that game while your out exploring Sedona.
There is NO separate living room in this room, but you don’t need it. You will want to spend your time in our quaint kitchen or out on the spacious patio and enjoy some quality birdwatching. You might even see a few Javalina or raccoons. There is also a tv outside so you can enjoy watching with great view and good weather.
We have Ebikes available on the property, we have several to choose from. Ask about our tour prices.
WiFi has been great, but during inclement weather it can be sketchy. Cell service can be a bit sketch too if it’s not a Verizon phone. ATT is not great here, that’s all of Sedona not just us.
We do not allow extremely large vehicles ie motor homes, or atvs on trailers. Or multiple cars.

We loved our stay here. Close enough to food and town, but far enough away to feel secluded. We loved the fireplace in the evenings and being close to a lot of hiking. Nice set up for space inside as well. Bedroom/living area are combined with a separate stocked kitchen. Felt comfortable.
Spent our evenings by the fire listening to the coyotes and looking at the stars.

This little slice of heaven was even better than expected. It was adorable from top to bottom. We watched the sun rise over Cathedral Hill and enjoyed the starry nights. Location was quiet but close to everything.

Great spot, with a very helpful host. Had everything we needed and the location was perfect as it was close to the trails and a bit off the beaten path so it wasn't quite as busy as town. Highly recommended.

The accommodations were great. We are outdoor people. The place had a wonderful outdoor area where we could hang out and let our dog roam the yard. The kitchen had all you could need in terms of cooking items. In general, the one bedroom was very comfortable. I would stay there again.

Best of Sedona

We've done a lot of traveling, and this is one of the best places we have ever stayed. It's a beautiful, tastefully furnished one-bedroom apartment with a small but fully furnished kitchen and a wonderful patio with gorgeous views. 15 minutes to everywhere in Sedona, but delightfully secluded. We will definitely stay here again on a future trip!

Fantastic Stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Sedona at Carolyn and Gary’s place. The apartment is extremely comfortable and perfect for two guests. The patio with the view is amazing! We appreciated the full kitchen with anything you would need to make a meal. This stay had the sharpest knives we’ve ever used away from home, and we love to cook our own meals so this was a huge plus! Carolyn and Gary made us feel right at home, and were available to answer any questions we had. Thank you Carolyn and Gary!

We flew in from MN for a wedding which was just down the road from this property, how PERFECT is that! We arrived at the property and couldn't believe how PERFECT that was as well! Perfect location

The view of Cathedral Rock was amazing and the location couldn't have been better. We were able to get up and get going, hiking all around the area. The hot tub was in the courtyard, much appreciated at the end of the day. Carolyn was quick to answer any and all questions we had. Due to a scheduling conflict, we couldn't stay the entire time ... so we will have to go back for another trip.

Beyond Expectations

We looked forward to our month-long stay, but this place had so much more than we anticipated. We loved the spacious terrace, the invitations to join our hosts’ wood-fired pizza parties, the wonderful birds and flowers, and all the great stories about Sedona past and present. The views, as advertised, are spectacular, and the hot tub was the best we’ve ever enjoyed (and we’ve been in a lot of hot tubs). We appreciated both the privacy of this apartment and the sense of being welcomed into the family. We will be back!

Woweeee what a gem!

This is the place to stay, people! Carolyn and Gerry were stellar hosts, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and like family. The view was amazing, and the room was clean, cozy, and inviting. The bed was very comfortable (I don’t often give this accolade). Ask Carolyn about her e-bike tours and all the best places to visit while there. We found that some of the best sunset views were right there in the neighborhood. We will 100% be rebooking! Don’t miss this gem in west Sedona!

Best of the Red Rock Cathedral Mountain area

Thank you so much for all your hospitality! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and everything far surpassed our expectations, and we quickly felt at home. The place has even more of a cozy “western” charm than the pictures show. Your location is excellent and it was amazing to just be able to look out the window and see the “million dollar view” and all of the ever changing faces of Cathedral Rock. We have a ton of photos and each one different! We took advantage of the many close by hiking trails, each one a treat in its own right. Your abilities as a potter are second to none and we are glad to have been able to bring back home some of your art to enjoy for years to come. We would visit again in a heart beat and would recommend to our friends, actually we already have! Next time we will most certainly take advantage of your e-bike tours too!

Quiet, serene, comfortable very private

Our vision of our stay here was far from realized, only because the weather in Sedona was the worst it’s been in 20 years!! There was only a handful of days that we could sit outside and enjoy the courtyard. It was the large outdoor area that really attracted us to this property, but January 2023 was not the time for outdoor enjoyment. If this had been any other year we would have had a totally different experience here. Lots of trails were either icy, or very muddy from the melting snow and ice. Normally they would have been dry and easy to walk. This property has plenty of great hiking trails in the neighbourhood to explore, however it is best to have your own transportation to get in and out of town for groceries etc. Carolyn and “Arizona” were excellent hosts, easy to get hold of if we had any questions, or “need to knows” about the area.

I am a multi media artist and my husband is a contractor. We moved to Sedona in 1973 and have lived here non stop since then.
I operate a small ebike rental company on the side and enjoy the outdoors.
I have a small dog named Nicki and an occasional dachsund named Gracie that visits occasionally.
I raised 2 children here and have been able to enjoy Sedona for 50 yrs.

Why they chose this property

The neighborhood is very close knit. We are mostly all friends and many long term residents. The loop rd is very serene.
Recreation areas on both sides of our property.
Crescent Moon Ranch is a 10 min walk.

What makes this property unique

Having the Ebikes is very unique to our property and the area that surrounds us is awesome and easy to get around on them. Light traffic and extraordinary views make this a highlight for my guests.
