About this property
Welcome To Our Cozy And Private Ozark Mountains Cottage.
Redbud Cottage is a fully furnished non-smoking cabin, able to sleep six adults and set amid our 160 acre nature preserve near Arkansas' lower Buffalo River. Turkey, deer, rabbit, and an occasional fox are some of the common visitors to our land, and wildflowers and mature trees populate the rolling hills and deep hollers. We can be easily reached from major highways to the north or south, and many of the areas foremost attractions are nearby: America's first national river - the Buffalo River at Buffalo Point, Indian Rock House bluff shelter, and the historic mining town of Rush. The world- famous White River is about a half hour to the north, as are Bull Shoals and Norfork Lakes. Two towns famous for musical and recreational entertainment, Mountain View, Arkansas and Branson, Missouri, are a scenic one hour drive. And for those who only wish to relax and recharge amid the natural beauty of our Ozark hills and lovely Redbud Cottage, we offer a spacious screened deck, covered picnic area, outdoor fire pit, and complete privacy.
The cottage is well furnished, very private, and includes convenient outdoor outlets for overnight electric vehicle charging. NEW in 2025 - high speed fiber internet. We're in close proximity to the Buffalo River at Buffalo Point park and also the historic mining town of Rush, and access to Redbud Cottage is along our private and well-maintained one-mile gravel road. The cottage has two double beds in the lower level bedroom as well as a queen bed in the upper level loft. A futon couch in the living room folds out to a double bed, as needed. The kitchen has plenty of dishes, pots and pans, and cooking utensils of every kind. Both the stove and refrigerator are full size, there is also a microwave, coffee maker, toaster, and the kitchen table seats six. Bed linens, towels, pillows and blankets are supplied. The bath is a tub and shower combination. There is a charcoal grill in the yard, but please bring your own charcoal and lighter fluid. Enjoy our screened deck, covered picnic area, and outdoor fire pit and there is ample level parking for vehicles, canoes, and other outdoor gear. The cottage is air conditioned for your comfort, and gas heat assures comfort year round.

This was the second time we’ve stayed at Redbud, and it was wonderful. I love the remoteness and beauty of the whole Buffalo National River area.

Thanks so much for staying and the 5 star review. It was good to see you again and we were glad to host your family during the awesome eclipse. Your welcome here, anytime.
Great getaway spot in the middle of nature! Really secluded and private. Dark sky area! Host was very welcoming and friendly. Cabin is cute with plenty of room for multiple people. The screened in porch w/ceiling fan was a nice place to start and end the days and to watch the rain. Can't wait to go back again!
My husband and I had the loviest weekend! The cabin is the perfect place to unwind and get away from the crazy of life. There is so much to explore in this area including on the property. Steve was kind and helpful on which trails to visit!

Hi Taylor, thanks for the review! I enjoyed meeting you and your husband and I'm happy you were able to enjoy the property and our beautiful Ozarks. Hope you can visit again. Steve
Thanks for the review and I'm happy we were able to meet during your stay. Also, thank you for taking good care of our cottage, it is much appreciated. Hope you can visit again!
This cabin was clean and secluded. We enjoyed our stay very much. It is a bit out of the way and back in the woods and if you go in June, be ready to be vigilant about ticks. We were shocked at how many ticks were getting on our socks and shoes. other than that, if you want a beautiful secluded get away … this is it. PS the screened in porch was a huge plus!
We had everything we needed at the cabin. Loved that we could walk around on the property which had an amazing view less than a 10 minute walk away. Totally secluded but not too far from town and some really cool places to hike. Checked out the Rush ghost town and Indian Rock House trail and had a shopping day in Mountsin Home. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Thank you Cassie, for the wonderful review! I'm glad you found several of our area treasures. We hope to have you visit again. Steve
We spent Christmas and it was a stress-free time. We enjoyed the Coziness of the cabin, the privacy, and yet a short drive thru the winding roads. We enjoyed a drive to Bull Shoals, a wonderful meal at the Gaston Restaurant. Steve was so inviting and made sure we had what we needed for our stay. I would recommend you to book a stay with Steve and his wife and enjoy nature at its best.

Hi Kathy, thanks so much for the review. Enjoyed meeting you and hosting you and your son. Hope you can visit again. Steve
Great place for outdoor experiences with 4,6 and 8 y/o grandchildren: hiking ,swimming, floating the river, and outdoor cooking , including lasagna then baking a birthday cake in Dutch ovens. Lots of great memories and no screen time!
Great place to stay with kids! Cozy house. Near the house, there is a lot of free space where children can play games. It's easy to get to. Very close to Buffalo River, and shops. We really enjoyed walking at night and admiring the night starry sky! Quiet, calm, and safe. Friendly and attentive hosts. We highly recommend it! Hope that we can go back sometime.

This property is very private and nearby all the river points and not to far from town. The owners are very hospitable and friendly . The canin its self came with a lot of amenities and thoughtfulness of the family . Such as games, a fire pit, and outside lights . 10/10 experience. We all agree for the price it was well worth it . Thank you owners for all your kindness and hospitality!
