About this property
Three Bedroom Ocean Home At Scarborough Beach On Prouts Neck
Well appointed, fully furnished with dishes, linens, Internet and t.v. Also has a large multi purpose room. Also equipped with a washer and dryer.
Quiet, Exclusive Community: Kirkwood Circle is an exclusive beachfront community on Scarborough Beach. Residents have exclusive use of the white sandy beach that stretches for a mile or more by walking down a short private path. Swimmers find the surf mild enough for casual swimming but also lively enough for some body surfing.
The views are spectacular of neighboring islands and ocean rock formations and the Black Point area is fraught with remnants of the French & Indian War and the skirmishes that took place.

This is the second time we have stayed at this cottage. Our family loves it here. Great beach access and a very comfortable stay. Valerie is a wonderful host and quick to answer our questions
This was our third visit at Val's wonderful house in Scarborough. The house is in an incredible location. Just steps from the beach. Very comfortable home. Plenty of room. Very well equipped kitchen. Lots of linens and beach towels. Great 2nd floor indoor/outdoor porch.
We had a great week at Scarborough Beach — the house was clean and spacious, and nicely appointed compared to other pet-friendly places we’ve stayed. The neighborhood was quiet and friendly, with great access to the beach. Would stay again!
Great comfortable home. Well equipped kitchen, plenty of linens towels etc. Beach chairs provided. Perfect vacation in a beautiful area of the Maine coast.
House was spacious and had a beautiful sunroom with a partial view of the ocean where we loved spending family time. Located in a quiet, dog friendly neighborhood on a private road with a quick 3 minute walk to a not-so-busy beach. We enjoyed our stay and playing at the beach.
We enjoyed our stay, the beach was wonderful. Brief walk from house. The house was spacious, pleanty of room to spread out, kitchen well equipped. Great for having my family over for a pre-wedding luncheon. My son and his brothers did traditional getting ready for wedding here, lovely photos taken by the photographer. Would stay here again.
We stayed one week in a very comfortable house with all commodities we were expecting. The beach was 5 minutes away via a private path. We were almost by ourselves on a beautiful beach . We had many hours of pleasure on that beach. We communicated with the owner for a dishwasher problem and it was solved quickly. The beds were very comfortable. All commodities worked well.
We were pleased in every aspect of our stay.
We stayed for a week in August with 4 adults and 2 toddlers. Val's home is in a perfect location with access to a beautiful beach via a scenic 3-minute walk. 10 minutes to all the necessities but away from the hustle and bustle on a cul-de-sac. The house was very clean, very spacious, and we enjoyed the sunroom and deck for eating outside. The outdoor shower was a bonus. There is a partial ocean view from the living room and deck. The house is set up nicely, myself husband and 2 kids had plenty of room upstairs, and my in-laws had their own little suite downstairs. We hope to stay again next year.
Our stay was wonderful. The house is very very comfortable and roomy. there is no a.c. in the downstairs bedroom, but with fan and dehumidifier, it was comfortable. The kitchen was well supplied with pots, pans, and dishes. there were LOADS of towels and linens and a good washer and dryer.
The house is steps from a private beach and the family and our lab mix were able to go swimming and take lovely walks on the beach every day.
Our host, Val was right next door and was very welcoming without being intrusive.
I definitely recommend this home and hope to return again next summer.
Another great stay. House is comfortable with many improvements this year. The draw is the location and easy access to private beach walk. Our dog was in heaven😀😀
For the cost charged per night you would expect a high end home to stay in. You get an old outdated and frankly ugly decor and uncomfortable everything - showers, beds, bathrooms. Everything is just ugly and uncomfortable and it would so easy to make the decor beachy. The only saving grace is that it's walking distance to a private beach. Literally that's it. Go take your money and spend it somewhere else. I promise you - you will thank me.
Wonderful month on Scarborough beach. loved the house and location. only negative was constant construction nextdoor which should NOW be completed. Interior was very clean and comfortable. Backyard area needed some organization and cleanup. Would love to return next summer
My daughter, her husband and kids stayed here while we rented the house next door. We loved that our grandson could come over early in the am to eat breakfast with us before we all went to the beach. Beautiful beach! Nice to have linens provided since we flew in from MN. Also, didn’t have to worry about interacting with other people during Covid since it is on a dead end street.
Amazing location with ocean views and steps from Scarborough Beach! My family had a wonderful Easter weekend, the house was clean and spacious with everything we needed. Valerie was very accommodating of both the dates and allowing 2 dogs.
My husband and I and I and our 2 beautiful well- behaved golden retrievers enjoyed this home for our Thanksgiving week. Everything was great— we were close to so many beaches and restaurants that offered delicious food for pickup in these COVID times. We didn’t have great weather .... but hey that’s New England in November. Loved walking to the beach even in the pouring rain!!! Great area!!
This house has multiple gathering spaces, a well equipped kitchen, good beds, and great views of the ocean. There are two complete living spaces On the two floors, including two full kitchens. Nearby Scarborough Beach is awesome. Highly recommend.
The home on Kirkwood was just what we needed, fresh air, close to a sandy beach, near other Maine beaches and villages, very clean, with a full kitchen. It was easy to stay for several days and cook here to avoid unnecessary contact with others during COVID times. All in our travels wore mask and were very courteous.

Excellent stay steps away from one on Maine’s best beaches
My husband grew up spending summers with his grandparents on Scarborough Beach and we return often to visit with friends. This spacious, clean, well situated house provided the perfect home base for our beach vacation.
The split-level house is much larger than the photos indicate. We enjoyed the three-season room and the bright, open living room/dining area. Our teen daughter and her friend enjoyed having the bottom level with a bedroom, a bathroom, two sitting areas, a dining area, and a kitchenette to themselves. The outdoor shower and hose kept the sand outside.
This was a great first experience with VRBO. Check-in was easy and convenient with a coded lock and clear instructions. The kitchen was well-stocked with essential dishes, cookware, and utensils and there were plenty of linens and extra blankets. Highly recommend.
We’ve stayed at this property twice. Once in high summer and again in early fall. We enjoyed both stays (our dog did, too).
^A quick walk to the private beach, which is an amazing find for summer in Maine.
^The house could use a little help, but it didn’t take away
from our vacation.
^Plenty of linens (towels, sheets, etc.)
^Kitchen was well appointed
^More basics in the cupboards than expected
^Keypad entry system - no fear of losing keys!
^Quiet neighborhood
^Great place to start amazing bicycle rides from - so many lighthouses
^Overall great stay
We paid for the location not for the house that love is sadly missing. This house needs a renovation everywhere. Doors and windows are hard to open. The cleaning is basic, very basic. We partly see the ocean and not the beach as the ad said. No AC and no umbrella for the sun on the terrace . The floor on the terrace was disgusting. My dog was the one who appreciatedmore the house and the location.
