Nestled on the outskirts of Destin (Dune Allen Beach) This high end rental is close to countless locations for shopping and dining. You are within walking distance to Stinky’s Fish Camp which offers some of the best Seafood South Walton has to offer. Dune Allen Beach is wonderful because you have the seclusion of being on Scenic Hwy. 30A, but you’re only a few miles from Sandestin. Here you will find a Publix supermarket, Silver Sands outlets, and the Village Of Baytowne Wharf.

Often referred to as “the town that began it all”, Santa Rosa Beach is the first established community in South Walton. Today, many of the communities that make up this majestic collection of beachfront developments are technically in Santa Rosa Beach. The most notable is Gulf Place home to restaurants, bars, shops and galleries. Other attractions include Eden State Garden Park and the Santa Rosa Beach Golf Club. Guests seeking to spend their vacation in Santa Rosa Beach can opt for studio style condos at Gulf Place, large vacation homes with private pools near the beach or beachfront custom homes or townhomes.

Wonderful Beach Trip

Very roomy, clean, great location. Loved having the pool. Wouldn’t be great for an older couples with the 3 sets of stairs. We had our legs toned by the time we left. We would stay again!!

2nd time still amazing

This is my favorite house to stay in on the beach. It’s spacious enough for my family and their friends to come and enjoy a week at the beach. The master suite with steamer and oversized jetted tub are my favorite part. I loved this house last year and love it even more this one.

Great location and house

We had a wonderful stay at Dune Vista. Everything was as shown on the listing. Lots of room for multiple generations. The location is fantastic. You can see the beach and watch the dolphins rain or shine. It was very convenient. We plan to return next year.

Dune Allen

Dune Allen was an amazing property! It was right on the beach, super easy to access. The property is the perfect distance away from the masses so the traffic wasn’t terrible. It’s a short golf cart ride away from restaurants. This might be a pro/or con depending on the ages of guests. The bunk room is on the bottom floor, which for smaller kids was a tad too far from the other bedrooms and parents. The house is pretty large. The ice machine was a great addition and the private pool was soo nice!

Very spacious and a nice view of the gulf

Our week long stay with the kids and grandkids was most enjoyable. Accessibility to the beach is convenient and the view from the 3rd floor in most impressive. Being there the first week of November it was perfect having the heated pool. The grandkids spent many hours there plus they had plenty of poolside chair and what seemed to be a new gas grill where we enjoyed cook outs pool side. The only down side was the many steps. At age 70 I'm in good enough shape to handle the stairs but for some tis could be a challenge. Over all it is a beautiful home and the amenities covered all our needs.

Spring Break 2025

House if great location. The pool heater didn't work had to call several times to get it fixed. a/c on 2nd floor wasn't working- they did bring in portable a/c units to help. The carpet had stains and the furniture. For the cleaning fee you pay you would think these items would be addressed. We found cockroaches in the unit. I spent way to much time on the phone and email trying to address maintenance issues- this was supposed to be a vacation and the for price shouldn't have to deal with anything but unpacking.

christmas vacation

We really loved the house and location to the beach was wonderful. Our location was good and it was a short ride to the grocery and about a 20 min drive to Destin for other offerings. Problems were: the jacuzzi in master on 3rd for only had 3 jets working and the steam shower did not work at all; the whirlpool tub in the master on the 2nd floor did not work; the door code did not work but was able to get that quickly fixed; the fan in the living area on the 3rd floor did not work; the ice maker did not work and the light in the bathroom at the top of the stairs on the 3rd floor kept going on and off. Other than those problems it was a wonderful vacation. The house was plenty big enough for the number of people in our party and the kids loved the pool. I would recommend this location to other friends and families.

Lovely property needing some basic maintenance. Several door locks did not lock function

Pool wasn't usable for first 5 days - gross. Door locks were a safety concern. Screening was torn in several places. Chair in pool deck was broken. several chairs broken on porch. Lamp in 2 nd floor king room broken. Multiple light bulbs were out.

The pool is cleaned twice a week, unless there are weather delays or other interferences that may occur. Nonetheless, we have addressed this with the pool vendor and have since had the matter rectified. As for the door locks, the homeowner has recently upgraded most locks within the home and we have sent maintenance over to ensure all are in working order. These unique locks operate on a 3 point locking system created for high winds and heightened home security. The home was very nice and comfortable. Great accessibility to the beach with great views of the water. There are a lot of stairs to get to the main floor, but the space and views are worth the climb.. The elevator would be beneficial for members of a party with mobility challenges. The bedrooms are spacious and the bunk bed room and down train lounge area is super cool,! The grill needs to be either professionally cleaned or replaced. We had to purchase a new propain tank for the grill to work, and it was still not working well. There is a broken chair at the pool that needs to be removed and disposed of. Other than that, the stay was wonderful.!

Nice but needs some TLC

The location of this house is awesome. Don't get me wrong the house was a great place to stay but IT NEEDS MUCH MAINTENANCE! Overall the house is dirty. Baseboards, windows, light fixtures, laundry room, air vents are all cakes with dirt. Ceiling is falling in master bathroom on 2nd floor. The dryer exhaust hose and outside bent are cakes with lint, a big time fire hazard. Carpets need cleaning. Even the tile in 2nd floor bathroom is white where people walk and black with cakes on dirt where they don't walk. The corners of the baseboards are cakes with dirt. There is no stick vac to do daily sand extraction from the floors. The drains on the 3 a/c units that drain the water condensation from the inside blowers were clogged causing the units to shutdown. We had to clean them out. Again we had a great time but this house needs some major MAINTENANCE and cleaning. There are few amentities other than its located on the beach. The owner needs to step in here. Not having access to the elevator is a BIG negative for me. I understand how people would abuse this feature and the cost to fix it would be a reason to keep it turned off.....but there is no $$ being spent on the house upkeep anyway......so???

The house is absolutely unbelievable! The pictures of the house just don't do it justice!

The floor plan was absolutely perfect for our entire family that included 4 separate families with 13 people! Prepare yourself for stairs, we definitely got a leg workout lol, however the tri-level house allowed everyone their own space with several common areas so you never felt crowded. The top balcony off the kitchen and living area have a breathtaking view of the ocean where we saw dolphins almost every morning. There is also a balcony on the second level that overlooks the ocean. The pool is clean, warm and has lounge chairs and a table to provide the perfect setting to cook out with the grill provided! Although this house sits right behind a house on the beach it is a super convenient walk from the garage door to the sand. Dune Allen Beach was the perfect choice of beach and we will never go anywhere else! It was never crowded and we always had a perfect spot for our chairs. Ocean Reef provides you with the basics for your first night stay such as a roll of toilet paper in each bathroom, a packet of dishwasher soap, and mini bottles of shampoo and soap. We found out that there were some necessities needed on our Walmart list so I thought I would share. Definitely add laundry detergent, dish soap, dishwasher soap, scrub brush, baggies, trash bags, paper towels, toilet paper, paper plates, bleach wipes, salt and pepper, Pam or cooking oil, solo cups. There is a Walmart less than 3 miles away but the absolute BEST advice I can offer is make a menu for the week and do a pickup order at the Walmart in destin!!! It's a 30 minute drive but will save you hours of grocery shopping for everything you need. Order it online, pick a pickup date and time, pull up and they load it, seriously a life saver. Oh and people leave beach items by the trash cans that they purchased and didn't want to cart back home so we scored multiple boogie boards, water guns, sand toys, boat raft and skim boards without having to purchase and then left them for the next family which is a great way to pay it forward!!! Overall you won't be disappointed if you book this house!

Enjoyed location, property maintained and clean. TVs need updating and internet slow. Ice maker in kitchen was very nice to have. Heated pool was not very warm. Overall would stay again especially if updates were made.

Try to charge us for previous damage and property had no hot water in kitchen or 2nd floor smallbatg

For what they charge to clean it the place was still dirty upon checking in. Urine was on master bath on 3rd floor. Looked like floor was not mopped or dusted. I have been checked out for two weeks and get a charge for paint damage that was in the first floor bunkroom that we did not use other than getting a comforter out of the first night because the heat didn't work on the 2nd floor. Damage was there previously. Total scammers. They tried to send in a plumber during a pandemic that we did not request. No hot water in kitchen or small bath on 2nd floor. Pool was heated per my request but was not clean. House was fine and on the beach but had a lot to be desired and they try to charge you for prior property damage and use. There were some light fixtures missing, screen on third floor was unattached at the bottom. Don't waste your time with this company as they are shady and try to pass the buck to unsuspecting customers who did not cause damage. We had three people over 70 and two over 40 and an infant. We were only on the 2nd and third floors other than when we left to get to our car. Do not use ocean reef property.

Thank you for bringing these items to our attention. The home was touched up the day of your arrival and was inspected by a senior representative. When you reported that the heat was not working I do see that we sent over a technician to work on the problem as well as space heaters to keep you warm for the time being also you reported no hot water and you requested it to be fixed so we did not have any other choice than to send a plumber to take care of the problem. As for the paint damage many representatives from our company had been in the home in previous days and it was not there nor was it reported until after your departure. Nonetheless we do apologize for any inconvenience you may have encountered on your vacation as we strive to keep our homes in the best condition possible and make each stay comfortable for each guest.

Wonderful beach house with great views

This house is very spacious with 3 floors. I would say it would not be good with those who have issues with stairs...you will get a work out bringing in the groceries. The are 2 master bedrooms that are both huge with equally large bathrooms. The top floor has a screened in porch. The kitchen even has a separate ice maker. We loved it!

Beautiful house, beautiful beach

We stayed in Aug 2018 with two toddlers, two adults, and two seniors. The house was beautiful, even better than the pictures. Very open and updated. The walk to the beach is so quick and the pool is a nice size with plenty of chairs. Pool is mostly shaded in the afternoon which was a nice break from the beach sun. The property management company was accodmating and helped make our stay easier. The minor problems we did encounter: - the house needed to be cleaned better when we arrived, we requested the tables/counters rewiped and floors swept, which they did for us, but it still wasn’t totally clean. -My parents had a hard time with the all of the stairs (which would be a problem with any 3 story house) - the outdoor grill was too dirty to attempt to clean and use Overall, the house worked great for us just wish it’d been cleaned better.

Amazing, family friendly

It was great. Everyone enjoyed it thoroughly. Only downside is that the stairs are killer!! Use of the elevator would have made it a 5star experience.

The Dune Vista House is perfect for a family beach vacation!!

The house was the perfect location and big enough for our family of 13. The pool was very nice when we wanted to come up from the beach. Loved the garage where all of our beach items were stored overnight. The only negative was the house was lacking in cleanliness. Nothing had been dusted and baseboards and corners of rooms were dirty. Overall, we loved the house for location, especially since the Destin roads are so tore up for construction. We liked how the bedrooms were split up for more privacy. In conclusion, the decor was nice but the bottom floor sofa could be cleaned as with dusting the rest of the house. Would love to have a full length mirror and my moms room didn’t have a television.
